memory的基本意思是“记忆”，可指记忆的能力，也可指记住的“人或事物”。
memory作“记忆能力，记性”解时是不可数名词，可指把已不复存在的事物在脑海中复现的能力，也指记忆所学到的事物(如单词)的能力，还指辨认从前知晓的事物的能力。
