less的用法：

1、less是little的比较级,基本意思是“较少的,更少的”,指物体的体积、数量、或分量相对于别的物体少。

2、less多用来修饰不可数名词,但当名词前有数词或a few等修饰时,其后可接可数名词。

3、在把时间、距离、金钱等短语看作是一个整体时, less可用来修饰可数名词。

4、在有些短语中,说话人着眼于有关事物的大约的量,而不去细算精确的数额时, less可用来修饰可数名词;用在感叹句中, less后可接可数名词。

5、由no less than连接的两个成分,其强势总是落在前面一个。

remain:1.半系动词，后接副词、形容词。如he remains calm.他保持冷静。he remains at home.他留在家里。2.动词，如only a few trees remain and the others are moved.另外注意的是，remain是不及物动词。在。。方面：in terms of, in the aspect of, in the respect of 都有这个意思，但具体有些差别。in terms of 以..来说；in the aspect of 视点、角度; in the respect of 某具体方面、细节。
