词语用法：
love在表示“恋爱的对象”时，一般说的是女性，不指男性，不过现在sweetheart的用法比较普遍；信函中用以表示“请向……致意”时，可用表达方式With love to；fall in love with的用法：表示一时的动作，所以不可用于完成时态。
fall in love with表示心理上的动作，没有表示的动作，对方不一定知道主语的心意。因此，就算they have fallen in love with each other，但因不知道对方的心意，未必“心心相印”。fall in love with或be in love with还可用于非生命物体。
love与like的比较：作动词时，其语气强过like。love常用作like。相同的是，两者后面都可接不定式或动名词。表示一时的爱好时，常接不定式，不接动名词。但是表示常时间的的爱好时，不定式或动名词都可接。但是动名词在表示简单的动作或情况时比不定式普遍，而不定式在表示复杂的情况时比动名词普遍。
