词语用法：

rise的基本意思是指空间位置的上升运动，引申可指数量、价格、需求、生活、费用、体温等的“增加，增长”，是可数名词； 也可指某事物的“兴起，发展”，是不可数名词； 还可指工资的“增加”，是可数名词。

rise还可指“斜坡，高岗”，是可数名词。

rise是不及物动词，不能用于被动结构，常与above， from， to等介词连用。

rise偶尔也用作系动词，后接形容词作表语。

rise一般不与介词up搭配使用，多单独使用，rise up中up是是多余的。

减少英语如下：

1、Decrease

指逐渐地、不断地减少，强调量上的减少，客观的数目或使人不快之物逐渐减少。

如:to decrease the number of working hours, to decrease traffic accidents.

2、Reduce

reduce的含义较广。指数量、程度的降低或减少。可以表示尺寸，数量，程度或强度的减少，或是较为主观的，人所认为的减少。

如:to reduce the speed，to reduce household expense，to be reduced to tears，to be reduced to ashes.

【例句】

This greatly reduced the speed of the ship ,for there was danger that if she travelled too quickly,this rudder would be torn away.

这大大减低了船速，因为如果它走得太快，这个舵会有被冲掉的危险。

3、Lower

lower是指高度和程度上的降低，比如水平线的降低。

【例句】

Lower your expectation from him.

降低你对他的期望值。

4、Diminish

侧重大小数量和重要性的不断减小，强调减小的部分。或表示减少损失。

如: to diminish research endownments

【例句】

However,my enthusiasm waned.The time I spent at exercises gradually diminished.

然而，我的热情减退了。我在做操上花的时间逐渐减少了。

There is nothing to fear. For nothing can diminish the true beauty at the heart of you.

5、lessen

lessen与decrease近义。指数目、程度、价值、实力等的减少，或者减轻痛苦，减轻疼痛，减轻影响。如: to lessen hazard,to lessen anxiety等等。
