接着发生英语

follow-up如果是“接东西”的“接着”，就是catch it如果是“接下来”的“接着”，就是and then

因为题目说只能改一个单词，你更改思路并没有错，但按照你的意思去更改，需要加was ringing，就违背了回答问题的含义了。

我觉得你应该明白以下两个概念：

1. when通常表达一件事发生，接着另一件事发生，— — two single actions

2. while通常表达一件事发生，另一件事紧接着发生，— — two continuous actions

但是，如果一件事是single action + 另一件continuous action又怎么算呢？当用在continuous前，when/while都可用。但是在single action前，when比while更恰当。

此题walking是continuous (ing形式) 但rang是过去式，表达single action。而while用在rang前，所以要改成when更恰当。

所以如果反过来说Her telephone rang when/while she was walking on the street. when/while 都可用

这要看情况使用，有以下几个：next、then、the following

then 例He locked the door,then turned the knob to check if the door was locked completely.T他锁完门，接着转了转把手，检查一下门是否锁死。
