虽然语法规定单音节单词比较级用 er 形式，（如果这是英语语法考试我会选择 shyer 或 shier - 两个拼写都对)但近来也常见 more shy 的说法因此两个说法都可以接受。例：Are guys generally more shy than girls?Shyer people often won't speak up when they want something.拿单词 dry 为例，有时我们说 more dry， 但有些句子里我们说 drier ：A feature of Canadian winter is that the air is much drier than in Spring.Many wine drinkers prefer their wine more dry. （对酒 more dry 是习惯表达法式） 我是加拿大人，前英语老师。
