记得以前在国内学英语的时候，很多教材的情景对话里都会提到英国人见面打招呼时特别喜欢聊天气。搬到英国之后，我发现果不其然，在岛国的寒暄中，变化多端的天气是个永恒的话题。但我也注意到一个英语教材里几乎都没有提到的文化差异：同是说天气，英国人和外国人大有不同。真正的英国人聊起天气来，词汇丰富，表达方式繁多，仅从各种感叹词来说就透着“英范儿”。比如，晴天的时候，他们会欣悦地赞叹“Oh lovely！”；乌云翻滚的时候，他们会一脸严峻地惊叹“Oh dear！”；而如果他们不幸在快到家门口的时候淋了一身落汤鸡，就会忍不住如我的邻居一样低声咒骂一句：“Oh crumbs！”。而对于在英国的老外来说，不管是来自亚洲、非洲、澳洲还是南北美洲，也不管在英国居住了有多久，我们则只会有一个话题：“这愁人的天气什么时候才能暖和一点呀！”在英国人的眼中，英伦三岛的天气温润随和、四季如春。确实，英国常年气温浮动在10摄氏度上下，而且对于绝大部分英格兰和威尔士来说，即便是严冬，零度以下的天气可谓罕见。但在英国的老外看来，英伦三岛的天气晦暗潮湿、四季如秋。因为常年的海风作用，实际感受到的气温总要打个3-4摄氏度的折扣。而且，即便是对于全英最暖和的肯特郡来说，如果某年的夏天能连续一周都有23摄氏度以上的好天气的话，英国人就会胜利地宣布那是个酷暑。而当气温紧逼30摄氏度的时候，你会发现英国人会如坐针毡，全国都进入抗暑警戒状态。我的博士生特伦特最近就正在为英国的天气发愁，因为他住在美国弗罗里达州的爸爸妈妈下周就要来看他。他希望太阳在那几天能“表现得好一点”，让他父母能像他一样喜欢上英国。我揶揄他说：“靠英国的天气提高印象分肯定没指望了，因为我父母来英国几次都没赶上过好天气。”比如，去年我好不容易说服父母复活节前后再次来英国小住。因为我想4月份好歹是春暖花开的季节。这是欣赏英国田园风光的好时候，英国人这时候都会忙着组织周末的草坪聚餐，参加各种地方艺术手工市集。但我忘了考虑到春天也是英国的雨季，而“一场春雨，一场寒”这句话放在英国真的不假。那次来英国，原本我父母计划在以前艺术家透纳经常写生的海边吃一顿浪漫海鲜午餐。但谁想我们去海边的那天，乌云密布，海风呼啸，虽然没有下雨，但寒气逼人。从出租车上下来，我妈妈的头发就立即被吹成了“怒发冲冠”。在沙滩上走了几分钟，爸爸也被英国4月的寒风吹得无语，瞪大眼睛望着我，好像在问询：“原计划的室外浪漫午餐怎么办？” 我也没有办法呀！这样的天气，找个暖气开得十足的餐馆叫上刚出烤箱的牧羊人派或者烘烤牛肉什么的才是正经事吧！这件事现在想来依然忍不住苦笑，唉，英国的天气还真是“坑爹”希望能帮助到你，望采纳！
