台风分为六个等级，分别叫热带低压，热带风暴，强热带风暴，台风，强台风，超强台风。1、热带低压（Tropicaldepression），最大风速6～7级，（10.8～17.1米/秒）。2、热带风暴（Tropicalstorm），最大风速8～9级，（17.2～24.4米/秒）。3、强热带风暴（Severetropicalstorm），最大风速10～11级，（24.5～32.6米/秒）。4、台风（Typhoon），最大风速12～13级，（32.7～41.4米/秒）。5、强台风（Severetyphoon），最大风速14～15级（41.5～50.9米/秒）。6、超强台风（SuperTyphoon），最大风速≥16级（≥51.0米/秒）。
