用法：

1、opinion的基本意思是“意见，看法，主张”，可指个人的判断，也可指权威性的评论，往往含有“起初的，不十分肯定的”意味，多与介词 of， on 或about连用，既可用作可数名词，也可用作不可数名词。

2、opinion作“舆论”解时，是不可数名词。

3、opinion有词组in one’s opinion，属于正式的用法，表示在某人看来；属于正式英语的结构还有of (the) opinion that ... ， of the same opinion以及I am of your opinion等。

英语写作中，表达“在我看来”常用说法有以下九种：

1、In my opinion：在我看来。其中opinion：意见；主张。当想发表自己的意见和看法时可以先说“In my opinion”之后再阐述自己的观点。

2、I think：表达意见最常用、最普遍的方式，正式与非正式场合皆可用。

3、In my view：比较正式，并且通常在讨论重要问题时使用。例句：

In my view, they made a huge mistake in not selling the company when they had the chance。在我看来，当他们有机会卖掉公司时却不卖是个重大的错误。

4、It seems to me和All things considered：这两个句式常用来表达经过深思熟虑后的意见。例句：

It seems to me that they are spending more money than they need to to attract new talent into the company。在我看来，在为公司引进新人才时，他们的花费比实际需求多很多。

All things considered, I think we made a wise choice in recruiting James。总的来看，我认为招聘詹姆斯是一个明智的选择。

5、If you ask me：这个句式可以用来表达建设性的批评或意见。有时，人们甚至会在没有被询问意见的时候使用这个短语。例句:

–“If you ask me,…。。”“依我看…”

If you ask me, she has spoilt her children far too much。依我看，她太过溺爱她的孩子了。

6、To be honest、To tell you the truth、To be frank：如果需要说些不讨喜的话，这三个短语能派上用场。例句：

To be honest, I preferred it when you were blonde。说实话，我更喜欢你金发的样子。

To be frank, I thought her acting was simply terrible。坦白讲，我觉得他的表演很糟糕。

7、Frankly speaking：这是一种更亲近和直率的表达意见的方式。例句：

Frankly speaking, I don’t know what she sees in him。坦白地说，我不知道她看上他哪一点。

8、Personally：Personally通常用来强调表达的只是个人意见。例句：

Personally, I think the CEO should apologize for his appalling behavior at the shareholders meeting。就我而言，我认为总裁应该为他在股东大会的恶劣行为道歉。

9、To my mind和As far as I’m concerned：如果觉得别人可能不会同意的意见，可以使用这两种表达中的任意一种。例句：

To my mind, private education is better than state education。依我看，私立教育比公立教育好。

As far as I’m concerned, tennis is a much more interesting sport than football。就我而言，网球比足球有意思多了。
