sing本身就是唱歌的意思，要是某人在唱一首歌，可以用sing a song，强调的是这一首歌，若是表示某人高兴的时候就唱歌，直接用sing就可以了，如：Sing a song when someone is happy。要注意时态。如说某人以前经常唱歌，就要用过去时：Someone used to sing a lot.或者Someone used to sing a lot of songs（某人曾经唱过很多歌），其中used就是use的过去式，与to组合是过去常常、曾经的意思。
