理货英文

理货是指船方或货主根据运输合同在装运港和卸货港收受和交付货物时，委托港口的理货机构代理完成的在港口对货物进行计数、检查货物残损、指导装舱积载、制作有关单证等工作。

随着水上贸易运输的出现而产生的，英文叫TALLY，其含义为计数用的筹码。最早的理货工作就是计数。理货的工作范围已经发生变化。

工作性质

在仓储活动中，理货是指仓库在接收入库货物时，根据入库仓单、运输单据、仓储合同和仓储规章制度，对货物进行清点数量、检查外表质量、分类拣选和数量接收等工作。

理货，英文是Tally，其含意为计数用的筹码。这是因为船舶在港口装卸货物时，人们最早是用木、竹制的筹码来计算货物的数字，故最早的理货工作就是计数。 在水上贸易运输中，最初是由卖方随船与买方直接交易货物的，也就是买卖双方当面点交点接，自行理货。随着贸易的发展，船方理货代替了卖方随船理货，即由船方分别与买卖双方计数交接货物。船方的理货工作开始是由船员兼作的，后来在船上配备了专职的理货人员，最后演变成委托港口的理货机构代办。现在的理货已超出了单纯计数的概念，对外贸船舶的理货工作，包括计数，核对标志，检查残损，监督装舱积载，办理交接签证，提供理货证明等内容。
