国际组织有UN 联合国、WHO 世界卫生组织、WTO 世界贸易组织、WPC (World Peace Council) 世界和平理事会、IAEA 国际原子能机构、APEC Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation 亚太经济合作组织等。
1、联合国
联合国是一个由主权国家组成的国际组织。在1945年10月24日在美国加州旧金山签定生效的《联合国宪章》标志着联合国正式成立。在第二次世界大战前，存在着一个类似于联合国的组织国际联盟，通常可以认为是联合国的前身。
联合国对所有接受《联合国宪章》的义务以及履行这些义务的“热爱和平的国家”开放。到2008年为止，联合国共有192个成员国。
2、世界卫生组织
总部设置在瑞士 日内瓦，只有主权国家才能参加，是国际上最大的政府间卫生组织，截至2015年共有194个成员国。总干事为中国香港人陈冯富珍。
1946年国际卫生大会通过了《世界卫生组织组织法》，1948年4月7日世界卫生组织宣布成立。于是每年的4月7日也就成为全球性的"世界卫生日"。
3、世界贸易组织
1994年4月15日，在摩洛哥的马拉喀什市举行的关贸总协定乌拉圭回合部长会议决定成立更具全球性的世界贸易组织 ，以取代成立于1947年的关贸总协定。
前身是关税与贸易总协定(1947年10月30日在日内瓦签订，并于1948年1月1日开始临时适用)，是全球性的，也是联合国相关组织 。被称为"经济联合国"。1995年1月1日，世界贸易组织成立，"关贸总协定"与世界贸易组织并存1年。
4、世界和平理事会
世界和平理事会是保卫和平运动的领导机构。1950年11月22日在华沙成立。前身是"世界保卫和平大会常设委员会"(1949-1950年)。
其宗旨是:要求销毁所有大规模杀伤武器，停止军备竞赛，撤销外国军事基地，铲除各种形式的殖民主义和种族歧视，尊重人类的尊严以及国家领土和主权，主张不同社会制度的国家和平共处，通过协商解决各国间的争端。
5、国际原子能机构
是国际原子能领域的政府间科学技术合作组织，同时兼管地区原子安全及测量检查，于1954年12月由第9届联大通过决议设立并于1957年7月成立，是联合国的一个专门机构。总部设在维也纳。现任总干事天野之弥 （日本人）于2009年任职。
至2012年底，共有153个成员国。1984年1月1日中国正式成为国际原子能机构成员国。1984年6月，机构理事会接纳中国为指定理事国。
