英语看图

看图写话是NMET书面表达经常采用的形式，它是一种检查学生观察理解能力及运用语言能力的形式。考生必须根据所示图片或图片组，恰当地运用所学的词句表达一个完整的故事，近年NMET书面表达均采用图画提示的书面表达形式，要求考生根据图画所表现的内容写一篇100字左右的短文。那么，如何根据图画的内容，运用正确的语言和规定的篇幅来写好这类文章呢？1．确定图画的内容要点 碰上这类试题，考生首先应仔细审题，看懂图片所表达的意思，根据图画内容整理出几个要点，再根据这些要点决定要采用的语言形式。如NMET 2000的高考试题中，书面表达部分题目是这样的：假设你是李华，在美国探亲，2000年2月8日清晨，你目击了一起交通事故。警察局让你写一份材料，报告当时所见情况，请根据图画写出报告，词数100左右，结尾已为你写好。根据图画确定的内容要点是：（1）2000年2月8日发生了一起交通事故（2）我走在公园路（3）一位老人从街的另一边公园里出来（4）一辆黄车开过来在公园路转弯（5）黄车撞倒了老人并向西开跑（6）我记住了车牌号是AC864，并送老人去医院2. 直截了当，开门见山 开门见山就是文章写什么，开头就说什么，直截了当，尽快入题，不要拐弯抹角，拖泥带水，如NMET 98，写的是参观农场，开头就是：Today we visited a farm.3．10句话左右组成文章 书面表达要求用100词左右写出含六个要点左右的短文，所以从近几年的高考英语答案看，一般都以10个句子组成一篇文章。若用较少于8句话来表达，则句子容易复杂冗长，容易失控；若用多于10句话来表述，则句子零乱与琐碎，文章缺乏整体感。请看NMET 2000年的书面表达范文（8句话）：（1）It was 7：15 on the morning of February8，2000. （2） I was walking along Park Road towards the east when an elderly man came out of the park on the other side of the street．（3）Then I saw a yellow car drive up Third street and make a right turn into Park Road．（4） The next moment the car hit the man while he was crossing the road．（5） He fell with a cry. （6）The car didn't stop but drove at great speed heading west. （7） I noticed the driver was young woman and the plate number was AC864． （8） About two minutes later I stopped a passing car and took the old man to the nearest hospital.4．语言基本无误（1）用有把握的句式 看图写话要用自己最熟悉、最有把握的词语和句型将题中所规定的内容要点加以表达，进而串联成文。在表达时句子宜短不宜长，应慎用分词或复合句，对拿不准的表达，可采用“回避”的方法，在不改变原有意思的前提下，改换另一种表达方式，但切忌中文式的英语，或根据英语语法人为地编造一些不地道的语言材料。如NMET 98高考作文是：5月3日，你参观了一个农场，请根据图画用英语写一篇日记。针对这篇文章的要点，我们就要使用以下有把握的句式，如：①give somebody a warm welcome②show somebody around③How glad somebody was to do something④have fun （in） doing something⑤say goodbye to somebody 其中，第一句式The farm workers gave us a warm welcome. 我们也可以用其它表达法：The farm workers warmly welcomed us. 或The people in the farm received us warmly等。（2）注意用词表达得当 用词不当，会影响文章内容的正确表达。如：NMET 98的高考书面表达有如下要点：警察罚他们抓住下一个违章者。有的学生用He let us catch an other off ender．这种表达就没有He made us catch the next of fender. 来得恰当。因为文中是因违章被罚，站在路边抓其他违章者一事带有强迫性质，用“let”语意太轻，应改用make。（3）重视英语虚词的使用 “看图写话”所提供的图画内容要点，通常是分幅叙述，相互之间没有逻辑的联系。这就要求考生按照合理的顺序，将句子连珠成串。在不连贯时，可适当使用一些过渡性的连接词，如and，then，however，besides，thus等，这样使人看上去脉络清晰，层次分明，文理通顺，意思连贯。如：NMET 97范文中使用连词and达到5次，NMET 98使用连词and达到3次，NMET 99使用连词and达到4次，NMET 2000使用连词and达到3次，then l次，but l次。5．结尾自然有力 文章结尾要干净、利落，既不能拉杂，也不能草率，要显得自然，恰当得体。请看如表1所示的例子：年份文章结尾句NMET 1992At four o’clock, we said goodbye and set off for home.NMET 1993It was our brave Ah Fu who had saved my little sister.NMET 1998The time passed quickly. Before we knew it, we had to say goodbye to the workers.NMET 1999I hope you come and see for yourself some day.NMET 2000About two minutes later I stopped a passing car and took the old man to the nearest hospital. 总之，做好看图写话的书面表达题，要做到内容切题，要点明确，文理通顺，语言正确，篇幅适中，开门见山，结尾自然。

In the picture , there stands a tree full of fruit on one side of the stream. Across the stream , a man is trying to reach out on the edge of the bank for the fruit with a net attached to a pole. Not far away there is a bridge that can lead him to the tree for more fruit.

The message conveyed in the picture is clear. In pursuing a dream , we might only focus on only one way of making it come true ,forgetting that there may be alternatives. As indicated in the picture, if a man is willing to look for other possibilities ,he can find a better and more rewarding way to achieve his goal. All he has to do is turn around ,cross the bridge and walk to the tree.

For many child, learning to bike can be a fun experience, but this is not the cases with the girl in the picture, who obviously has no fun at all. For fear that she may fall off the bike, her parents are holding the handle, with her grandmother giving a hard push from behind. The three adults are dripping with sweat while the gitl is sitting on the saddle wondering who actually is learning to bike a bike. They have without doubt gone too far protecting the gitl.

Today's parents seem to be too protective of their children, which can de a barrier to their growth and development. Rather, children should be encouraged to learn to do things on their own. Of course, they are likely to run into setbacks, but it is these setbacks that can teach them to be mature and independent. Don't you think so ?

One Sunday morning, there were some people in Zhongshan Park. At a stand, a woman was buying an ice-cream when a young man behind her snatched her handbag away. Hearing the shouting“stop him”, a few people began to run after him. There was an old man sitting quietly on a bench nearby and as the snatcher was running past him, the old man quickly picked up his umbrella and put it between the snatcher’s legs ,so the young man fell down on the ground hard. Soon two policemen came in a police car and arrested him. At last, the woman thanked the old man, and the people around praised the old man for his cleverness.

As is shown in the pictures，trees play an important part in water and soil conservation. In the left picture， people are fleeing from sand dunes because they cut down all trees. In the right picture， people have planted many trees and the sand has retreated.

People should realize the important relation between human and nature. If we continue to destroy forests， destroy the balance of nature， the real victims will be us humans.

It's never too late to mend. After suffering from sand storms， people have now realized the importance of trees in water and soil conservation. They are planting more and more trees to fight against the greedy desert.

It was fine on March 12 ， 2001 . I got up early that day . All the students in our school went to the hill to plant trees .

We arrived at the hill at eight o'clock . The teacher asked each of us to plant at least six trees . Then we started digging ， planting and watering . We all worked so hard that we could finish our tasks ahead of tim e . Among us ， Wang Lin ， our monitor set a good example for us . Though he was ill ， he worked harder . When he finished his task ， he went on to help others without even a little rest . He was wet all over after work .“ I must learn from him ，” I said to myself . Looking at the lines of the young trees ， we smiled happily ， forgetting our tiredness .

2001年3月12日天气晴朗。那天我起得早。在我们学校所有的学生到山上植树。

One day when I was about to play football, I saw Mother was taking a lot of dirty clothes to wash and a bucket to carry water. I thought Mother was very tired, so I decided to help her wash clothes. While I was doing the washing , Li Ming came and asked me to play football with him. I refused him and told him that I would help Mother finish the housework first. When I got the housework done,I was so tired that I was sweating all over. When Mother came back home, she found I had washed all the dirty clothes and said that I was a good child . I felt very happy.

Guangming High School is in the west of the city，with the Chengxi River running nearby. It covers an area of 130 mu. When you enter the school， you can see a big flower bed in front of you，and two large buildings on both sides- the library on your right and the teaching building on your left. Walking on further，you will find the gymnasium， which is the most beautiful building on the campus， with another round flower bed in front. Behind it， there lie four basketball courts. Next to the courts is the sports ground. Along its east side stand three buildings-the dining hall， and two dormitories for the students and teachers. All the buildings are surrounded by bushes and flowers.

The students of our school had a discussion about whether listening test in the National Matriculation English Test should be kept or canceled. Some students think that listening test should not be canceled. They insist listening is among the four basic skills. We therefore can not ignore it. Besides， listening is one of the important channels for us to get information from the outside world. So it should be strengthened today when international cooperation is becoming more and more frequent. But others don' t agree. They think not everyone has to communicate with foreigners in the future. Moreover， listening test is unfair to the students in the areas where radio signals cannot be picked up effectively. And for certain reasons， there is a big difference in teachers and equipment between the countryside and the city.

A man is using water as much as he likes washing his clothes regardless of the notice pinned above "Save the water Please."（人们随心所欲的用水洗衣服，毫不在意“请节约用水”的标牌。）

As we see，water is the source of life. But there is very limited available water resources in our world，so we shouldn't waste it. Of course，we have to use it to drink，cook，wash，clean and etc. But we must remember not to use it extravagantly. If we didn't stop such wasteful habits，we would cut off the development of the world and the human life. And what will our next generation use？

At present，playing computer games is becoming more and more popular with people，especially with school students. Take Tom and Mike for example. Every day after school，they go to the computer bar to play games till late at night， and they often have a competition to see who wins more scores.

Once，Tom didn't go home until eleven o'clock at night. When he got home，he told his mother that he had been going over his lessons. Poor mom！She believed him and cooked two eggs for him. "Take more care of yourself as you work too hard，my dear son." But Tom's face turned red at his mother's praise. Later he made up his mind to work really hard.

It was a sunny day. We decided to have a picnic outside the city. In the morning, we took an early bus to Nanhui. It was quite a colorful world. there were GREen trees, orange leaves,red peach blossoms.

At noon, we reached the place, we sat by the river bank and took out a lot of things, such as bread, orange juice, apples, cakes, eggs and so on.But all of a sudden, it began to rain. Unluckily there was no shelter nearby. We had to take a bus to go back home in a hurry.

What an unforgettable picnic it was!

A week before Earth Day, posters were put up around our school, calling upon us to join in the actions for a greener earth.

Our class came up with the idea to make better use of used materials. We brought to our classroom worn-out clothes, pieces of cardboard and empty plastic bottles and turned those into dolls, handbags, tissue boxes and small vases. That weekend, we went to a nearby neighborhood and gave them away to the people there. All were very happy with those unexpected gifts, especially little kids and elderly people. We did so well that we were invited to share our idea and experience with all the students of our school.

We are very proud of ourselves and believe we can do more for a better world.

It was March 8th yesterday. It was Women's Day. Wang Lei wanted to do something for his mother. He went shopping and bought much food. Then he cleaned the room. He did his best to do some cooking. When his mother came back after work, she was very happy. Wang Lei was very tired, but he felt pleased.

A Crow, half-dead with thirst, came upon a Pitcher which had once been full of water; but when the Crow put its beak into the mouth of the Pitcher he found that only very little water was left in it, and that he could not reach far enough down to get at it. He tried, and he tried, but at last had to give up in despair. Then a thought came to him, and he took a pebble and dropped it into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped it into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble and dropped that into the Pitcher. At last, at last, he saw the water mount up near him, and after casting in a few more pebbles he was able to quench his thirst and save his life.

Little by little does the trick.

My hobbyEveryone has his own hobby, it gives him/her lots of happiness. My hobby is listening to music. When I was a child I enjoy listening to music, especially the cartoon music, and I often lose myself in it. When I am in trouble, music can make me calm down. When I am very tired , it can make me comfortable . Also, sports can bring me happiness too. I like to play football with my friends, i enjoy it very much. It makes me forget all the pressure from school.Listening to music keeps me in a good mood and it's good for my health.

A crow is not good-looking, but particularly clever, wisdom. One day, he finished the work tired and thirsty, want to drink water. Suddenly, it saw a pitcher, filled with joy. It flew into the side of a tank, not much to see the jar of water, the mouth searches also does not drink, how to do? It is hard to use body hit the tank, and use their wings to push water tank, want to water down, good drink. But the pitcher is big and heavy, its force is too small, do not pour this jar. The environment is becoming worse and worse. There are many kinds of pollution I worry about. The most serious two are water pollution and air pollution, because people can't live healthily with dirty water and polluted air, nor can animals. More and more diseases are caused by polluted air.

I think factories should not pour dirty water into the river directly or produce more waste gas. We'd better go on foot or by like instead of by car, because more cars mean more waste gas. We should make our world more and more beautiful.

The first fact I worry about is noise pollution. People can't sleep well if there is too much noise. That's why so many people prefer to live in the countryside rather than live in the noisy city. I suggest all the factories and cars shouldn't make terrible noises. If they make terrible noise that isn't allowed, they will be fined, and we can also produce the cars which can't make terrible noise.

The other pollution is rubbish pollution. If everyone makes so much rubbish, one day we may live in a world filled with rubbish. Some people throw the waste paper about. I suggest rubbish should be put into different kinds of dustbins or paper bags.
