“搞定”一词用英语：Get the word

用来翻译该词的英文必须首先在文体上与原词对应，像solve, handle ,dissolve, tackle这些词虽然意思上相近，但从风格上而言都不太合适。

其次，由于需要找人“摆平”的事应该都不是小事，如身家数亿的山西某煤炭局长“摆平纪委”、“七十码”事件胡斌父母企图用钱“摆平”受害者等均非小事，所以，英文中诸如iron out这样的词也应该排除在外，因为尽管该短语的意思为“解决”( to solve)或“消除”(get rid of)，但目标都是一些“小问题或困难”(small problems or difficulties)。

笔用straighten ( things) out/up来译:这两个短语都有解决(settle or put right)的怠思，而且语体上也较为适合。
