the number of和a number of的区别：
①意思不同。
a number of表示“许多”，相当于many；
the number of表示“……的数量”。
②中心词不同。
a number of+名词做主语时中心词是名词；
the number of+名词做主语时中心词是number。
③谓语动词要求不一样。
a number of谓语动词用复数；
the number of谓语动词用单数。
a number of：
