差别根本不大。这两个词只是在中文中差别比较大，法院强调的是“法”这个功能，球场说的是“打球”这个功能。但是后面的“院”和“场”指的是场地，后半部分是相似的。而court就是只取了后半部分的含义。co取的是com也就是一起的意思，urt通yard也就是场地，所以court组合起来的意思就是大家一起到来的地方。英语当中的一词多义，多数是因为与中文描述一个事情的角度不同。在具体的语境中不会混淆，谈起费德勒的一场比赛不会让人联想到法庭，同样大家说起一起诉讼的时候，不会把court联想到球场上去。
