松饼的英文是muffin。
松饼是面包的一种，通常是以泡打粉或小苏打粉做为烘焙酵素。基本上是面包类的东西；可以放入烤面包机烤脆後涂点奶油吃，也可以随意夹起司、煎蛋或烤肉等等。
大部分烹饪都注重色香味，松饼也不例外；通常可搭配水果或坚果使其赏心悦目。当然也能配制起司、芳草味或肉，如此另类吃法，则需要一些小小秘诀。

调合好的面糊应该是有颗粒而不平滑的，不要以为没有搅拌均匀而过度搅拌，这样会烤出干硬而不是松软的松饼。松饼之有这么大的膨胀能力有个主要的因素：湿面筋的烘焙特性，有产生层次能力的结构材料。
