《猫》剧主创合影。 提起外国音乐剧，大家都会想起《猫》，这是百老汇史上公演最长的经典之作。记者从主办单位获悉，英国真正好公司将派出旗下的澳大利亚演出团于元月5日至10日首次亲临广州天河体育馆上演音乐剧《猫》。据悉，这个澳大利亚演出团阵容强大，其中由昔日澳大利亚“舞王”萧恩·瑞尼出演英雄猫，澳大利亚童星阿德里安·瑞克斯扮演魔术猫等。《猫》剧组人员到达广州之后，羊城观众振奋不已，纷纷关注他们的动向。该剧主创主演人员前日下午亮相新世界行政公寓的《猫》剧照展，昨日在天河体育馆进行了带妆彩排，其间，记者专访了男女主角；因为现场有些官员打趣地说：“I am not Cats!(我不是《猫》剧组的)”，所以主创主演们回应：“We are Cats!”(我们是《猫》)，这句话转眼间深入人心。第一幕午夜，人行道上没有声响。……直到第一只洁里珂猫的到来。接着，一只一只的猫儿出现在废物堆积场的各个角落。今夜是一年一度的洁里珂舞会，所有的猫儿们都在这里汇集，快节奏的音乐很快地冲斥整个舞台，整个剧场。所有的猫儿随着音乐舞蹈歌唱。在歌声中他们演译出洁里柯猫引以为傲的特色：“我们能在空中舞蹈，像高空秋千，我们能翻双筋斗，在轮胎上弹跳”。因为人们出现在猫儿们的天地，猫儿们起先对入到它们领地者心存厌恶和怀疑，但是很快地他们接受了陌生人的观察，并且向他们讲述了猫儿的三个名字：一种是家里的日常称呼，一种是有尊严的独特名字，另一个则是只有猫儿自己才能知晓的秘称。纯洁的白猫Victoria表演了一首独舞，象徵着一场舞会的正式开始。强健的灰猫Munkustrap是猫族首领Old Deuteronomy不在时的管事人，也是小猫的守护者。在故事里他充当旁白的作用，给幼猫讲述洁里珂的规矩，并介绍其他的猫上场。Munkustrap给小猫解释了洁里珂舞会的意义。这个一年一度的月圆之夜，是只有猫类才能体会它的魔力的，而且，他们一族的首领Old Deuteronomy也将会在黎明到来之前，从族里选出一只猫来，送上云外之路(Heavy Side Layer)，从而获得重生。因此，在这个舞会上，各种各样的猫儿们都要登场介绍自己，希望能去美妙幸福云外之路。接下来Munkustrap介绍了JennyAnyDots，她对待所有的小猫都亲切慈爱好像老妈妈一样。然后摇滚猫 Rum Tum Tugger 自己上场介绍自己。Tugger是一只被他的类家庭宠坏了的好奇的猫，他也最喜欢所有母猫们对他的迷恋。很久没有出现在废物堆放场的魅美的猫，Grizabella出现了，可是她现在又老又丑又脏。因为她年轻时背叛了洁里珂猫，离开猫族到外面的世界里闯荡，尝尽了冷酷和辛酸。现在Grizabella疲惫不堪，独自一个人回来。可是所有的猫儿不原谅她，并把她敢走。Grizabella于是悄悄躲在舞台的角落里。Bustopher Jones在JennyAnyDots的歌声中出场，这个爱吃的肥猫是让所有同类骄傲的贵族猫。然后是两只小偷猫，Mongojerry和Rumpleteazer表演了歌曲和杂技般花哨的舞蹈。在他们的歌曲结束之后，Old Deuteronomy出现了！大家向老首领表示了敬意之后，Munkustrap为他组织了一个很滑稽的舞蹈，逗得大家哈哈大笑。之后，随着舞会高潮的到达，所有的猫儿加入了歌舞，《猫》的主旋律再次响起。Grizabella再次回到舞台中心，猫儿依然不肯原谅她，这时Grizabella唱出了动人心漩的歌“记忆”，Old Deuteronomy同情地注视着心碎的Grizabella再次下场。第二幕猫儿们再次回到舞台上的时候，Old Deuteronomy用歌声提醒他们记忆快乐时光的重要。老猫Gus被Jellylorum带上舞台。Gus是一只曾风靡所有剧院的演员，现在他回忆着自己当年的日子，尤其是他最得意的创作，大海盗Growltiger的故事。接下来场景转换，大家都仿佛回到了Gus红极一时的时候，在舞台上表演了Growltiger和他的情人Griddlebone的故事。因为声音很大，本来在火车上睡觉的Skimbleshank被吵醒了，火车猫Skimbleshank是个滑稽可爱的叔叔。大家帮他用堆积场的废物堆出一辆火车头，让他神奇地站在上面。可是，在火车猫的故事刚刚结束的时候，快乐的舞会被罪犯猫Macavity打断了。在黑暗之中Macavity带领他的爪牙截走了Old Deuteronomy。两只曾经认识Macavity的母猫，Bombalurina和Demeter给不了解Macavity的小猫讲述这只罪大恶极的通缉犯的所作所为。这时Old Deuteronomy忽然又回到场上，所有的猫儿还在惊喜之中，可是他甩下灰皮，原来是Macavity假绊成OldDeuteronomy前来捣乱。Munkustrap带领着其他几只公猫展开了同麦克的斗争，最后罪犯猫在黑暗中逃掉了。“不用担心，我们有神奇的Mistoffelees先生！”Rum Tum Tugger对大家说。他介绍了下一个上场的Mistoffelees。魔术猫Mistoffelees在众猫的要求下成功地变回了Old Deuteronomy。猫儿们一起感谢了他的贡献，再次准备聆听老首领的选择。Grizabella又一次上场了。可是这一次，在她歌唱“记忆”的时候，猫族里最年幼的小猫，Jemima用清亮的歌声回应。这时猫儿们明白了Old Deuteronomy对他们讲过的话。一只接着一只，他们原谅了Grizabella，使她重新回到洁里珂温暖快乐的家族里来。Old Deuteronomy在黎明到来之前，选择了Grizabella登上云外之路，获得重生！在群猫的歌声中，Old Deuteronomy带领了Grizabella走上了云外之路，Grizabella消失在空中五光十色的云彩里。最后一首歌是Old Deuteronomy唱给观众听的。“你要对猫儿脱帽敬礼，说声‘你好吗，我尊敬的猫’。这一定会讨猫儿的欢喜。”因为毕竟，猫儿跟人类没有什么不同。
