日期和月份前后没有具体规定，但年份必须在后，日期的英文书写方式具体注意事项：
1、不能简写年份；
2、月份英文简写，数字无法代替；但 May, June, July, 因为较短，不可缩写；3、数写日期，可用基数词的阿拉伯数字，同时也可用序数词 lst, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, ……28th, 29th, 30th, 31lst。
注意事项：
1、写法中，日期与月份之间不可加逗号。
2、写法中，年份前的逗号可以省略。
3、写法中，代表日期的序数词词尾（-st，-nd, -rd或-th ）均可省略。
4、写法中，序数词前的定冠词the，一般可省略（尤其是以序数词开头的场合）；但在读法中，该定冠词则不省略。

英语中日期有两种写法，一种是按月、日、年的顺序排列，另一种是按日、月、年的顺序排列。
将年份放在最后，其前用逗号与月、日隔开。
1、把月份写在日期前面，这通常是美国写法。
如：March 21st,2001 读作March the twenty-first, two thousand and one(2001年3月21日)
2、先写日子，再写月份和年，这通常是英国写法。
如：21st March,2001读作the twenty-first of March, two thousand and one 还有就是月份也可以间写。
