一、ready的词义辨析：
be ready, be prepared这两个短语都可以表示已经完成采取某种行动之前所必要的准备或具备进行某项活动的条件。其区别在于：
1、be ready表示具备做某事的条件、处于可以做某事的状态,或有思想准备,乐于做某事。例如:
（1）We are ready to start.我们准备好了,可以开始了。
（2）He was always ready to help his friends.他总是乐于帮助朋友 。
2、而be prepared除强调为做某事而进行了积极的努力外,还常常用来强调精神上有应付意想不到的事件的能力。例如:
（1）The student was thoroughly prepared for the examination.这个学生为考试做了充分准备。
（2）These children are prepared for the disappointments as well as the joys of life.这些孩子不仅准备享受生活的乐趣,而且也准备经受生活中的失意。
二、ready的用法：
1、ready在句中多用作表语,基本意思是“准备”,指某人做某事之前已有所准备; 也可作“乐意的,情愿的”解,指人决心做某事,愿意并急欲采取行动; ready也可作“可能做某事的”解; 还可作“迅速的,立即的”解,此时可用作定语。
2、ready在句中用作表语时其后可接动词不定式(不接动名词),也可接介词短语。
3、too ready to- v 不含否定意义,而含肯定意义,即“易于…的”“太…以至于”。
