Abstract The paper discusses some significant differences between Chinese and English，such as differences in diction, syntax, and discourse organization. Because of these differences, the transfer of native language (L1) into the target language (L2) tends to appear in the negative form, i.e. interference. The interference of Chinese in English writing is the major cause of the so-called Chinglish. The paper states some types of interferences errors in lexical, grammatical, and structural aspects. Lexical errors include the mechanical uses of words and misuses of articles, prepositions, and marks. The grammatical errors involve misuses of number of words, tense and voice of sentences, syntactical function of words, verbal phrases, and the mechanical uses and misuses of structure. In the discourse organization part, the paper discusses the mechanical transfer of Chinese thinking mode and some errors in word order. In the end, the paper gives some possible approaches to remove the interferences of native language in English writing.
