There is a hot debate in China these days: English may be canceled in college entrance exam. It is urgued that English is not as important as it used to be in China. Many provinces in China have proposed the policy to low the percentage of English occupied in the Entrance exam. Some of them even tend to cancel it. For me, it's really hard to accept the policy. Because English is of utmost importance in almost every aspect. I just cannot imagine how can Chinese next get prosperous without English. In that condition We cannot communicate with foreigners,we cannot keep up with the world. So, in order to learn from other countries we cannot abandon English.
