口译与笔译的联系与区别:★ 联系口译与笔译作为翻译的两种实践形式,其关联性不言而喻。如果说口译是上层建筑,那么笔译便是下层建筑。简而言之,口译的基础是笔译。在口译训练或实践之前,笔译要过关(至少必须是同步进行)。这两者不仅并行不悖,而且前者的质量往往在很大程度上决定今后口译水平的高低或发展潜力的大小。口译与笔译虽然翻译形式不同,但有许多共同的基本原理,在一些基本的翻译策略和技巧上,也是一致或相近的。从根本上而言,这两种翻译实践都是受一般的翻译理论与原则的指导或支配,而翻译的一般理论与原则总是在笔译的训练过程中首先得到接受和消化。口译人才的培养若离开笔译训练的基础既是刻舟求剑,也是行之不远的。如若忽视笔译的重要性,或者笔译训练的量不够,那么势必会有头重脚轻之嫌,口译上的作为也难以更进一层。★ 区别既然我们说口译的基础在于笔译,那么口译必然是在笔译的基础上满足更多更高的要求。口译与笔译有着许多不同之处,其主要区别在于:1. 口译是一种口头表达,一种口头交际,是讲话,因此就必须尽量口语化(口语化不代表不正式,只是在断句、停顿或语序上更符合口语习惯,更便于听者理解)。2. 口译既然归于讲话一类,势必建立在“听”的基础上,靠“听”来接受信息。出众的听力水平则是成为一名优秀译员的大前提。俗话说“巧妇难为无米之炊”,如果接受信息这一关就遇到障碍,那么后面的口译步骤势必难以为继。3. 口译要求译员要“快”字当先,绝对不是什么“慢工出细活”。试想,作为听者,等待一个人支支吾吾或者干脆鸦雀无声,是怎样一种心情。这就要求译员有着惊人的临场反应和广泛的社会科学和自然科学的知识。当然经验以及刻苦的台下训练和积累都是不可缺少的方面。因此,在口译界有“always something better than nothing”和“faster is always better”等这样的经验之谈。 前面提到口译是一种表达,是讲话,那么对于句子的表现形式的要求自然要更宽松于笔译。在不损坏原意的前提下,口译译员比笔译者有更大的操作自由,在句子形式的处理上,口译的方式和方法也更具灵活性和变通性。 而正是口译与笔译有着上述根本的差异,视译(sight translation)作为一种过渡训练手段引入到口译培训中,即训练时,练习者边看文字边进行相应内容的口译。通过这种方式,译员可以完成书面翻译到口头翻译的逐渐过渡。 总而言之,作为同根的一对孪生兄弟,口译与笔译尽管有着千丝万缕的不同,但绝非水火不容。只有当口译译员正视笔译的重要性时,其口译之路才会行的更远。社会的进步、行业的发展,需要分工和人才专业化。我们也鼓励更多的优秀口译译员能够填补市场需求的空缺。做好“笔译”训练这一“跬步”,以助“口译”而跃千里。希望我的回答对您有用!
