英语写作,需要掌握的技能有哪些呢? 1、 充足的词汇量 :没有词汇量,一切都是空谈。1-2000词的基础阶段,该背单词背单词,该读课文读课文,没有什么捷径可走。这差不多就是初中毕业、高一上学期的水平。2001-5000词阶段,才慢慢谈得上用词根、构词法记单词,大家别被忽悠了。这需要到大学毕业。5000词以上,新单词的记忆和掌握才慢慢变得轻松自如。 掌握了多少单词是一方面,掌握了多少习语和表达法是另一方面。如果掌握了set、out,却没有掌握set out to do,那么这个词汇量就要大打折扣。 2、 扎实的语法基础 :这既需要对课文的深入学习领会,也需要大量阅读加以印证,两方面不可偏废。 3、 句子生成能力 :这可以通过“用完整句回答问题”的办法来练习。给你们举个例子: Where did they stay when they were in London? 简略回答:In a motel. 完整回答:They stayed in a motel when they were in London. Is Mary content with what she has already got? 简略回答:Yes(, she is). 完整回答:Yes, she is content with what she has already got. 完整句回答问题看似繁冗拖沓,却能帮助学生看清英语句子结构的几个要素:人称、数、语序。这对句子的生成能力绝对是很好的锻炼。只要给学生说清道理,他们不会拒绝的。 4、 关联词和代词、副词的使用 :有时我们过于关注关联词的学习,对代词和副词的关联作用有所忽视,或者说重视不足。举个例子: Tom looked around for a scoop, but couldn't find one . Suddenly, Lily popped in with one and took him by total surprise! The pioneers camped outside the city and waited. One day , there was a loud noise inside the city walls. What was it ? 上面两段话中的几个黑体代词、副词,其实也起到了关联的作用。 当然,我绝不是说关联词不重要!我只是说,能够起到关联作用的不只是关联词……。 5、 篇章结构的把握能力 :要了解英语文章的整体结构,一般是主题段 + 支持段(topic paragraph + supporting paragraph),每段内又有主题句 + 支持句,如此等等。 还有一种能力,“ 思维能力 ”,是英语写作 / “书面表达”的一个核心问题。解决了这个问题,写作不难,“术”毕竟是比“道”容易掌握一些的。问题是,怎样才能培养思维能力呢? 其实,思维能力的培养并不难。虽然思维看不见、摸不着,但思维的载体之一——语言,是可以把握的。只要充分运用、锤炼语言,使语言得到充分、恰当、全面、深入的运用,就能培养出较强的思维能力来。 这么说,似乎又回到了本来的问题:我是为了写作才要提高“思维能力”的,现在好像还是得回到“写作”这种语言实践活动上,这个逻辑循环了!写作提高思维能力,思维能力提高写作…… 不过,谁说语言的运用、锤炼只能是写作呢?口头表达不也是很好的语言运用吗? 作文也好,“书面表达”也好,“写作”也好,其实都是同一个活动: 说清楚一件事 。要想说清楚一件事,就必须先想明白。没有想明白的事情,是说不清楚的。想明白了,一般就能说清楚,当然说的过程中也许会有新的灵感,导致新的修改,但那是另外一回事,对这个基本的过程不会有根本性的影响。 有了这个基本的理解,应该怎样培养思维能力就不难明白了。我们要给孩子、给学生充分的说的机会,从平时的大小事情说起,不要打断他们,不要厌烦,孩子愿意说,就让他说下去。如果说得不好,家长、老师可以指出,让孩子酝酿一下重新说。说得好,讲清楚了,不要吝啬表扬。这个说,可以是用英语,也可以是用汉语,不必强求,当然如果能够引导孩子逐步用英语来说,那肯定是更好的。不过即便是用汉语,只要孩子间或有长篇陈述的机会,他们的思维能力就会在这样的讲述过程中不断得到锻炼。写是比较耗时的,说的效率最高。用口头表达的方式锤炼思维能力,是高效率的做法,值得提倡。 当然,这并不是说就不要多写。多写当然是好的!在充分进行了说的锻炼的情况下适当多写一点,有助于帮助孩子认识到汉语、英语口语和书面语的不同,并认识到写作过程对思维的进一步澄清和提高。 与此同时,听和读对于写作也能起到很好的助推作用。我们可以打个比方:说是口头的写,写是切实的写,听和读就是 观摩别人怎么写、怎么说,也即别人怎么表达 。 当然,如果自身没有多少表达的体验、经验,那么就很难培养起对“别人怎么表达”的敏感性,多听、多读的效果就会打个折扣。所以,听和读对于写作的助推作用,只有学生、孩子已经有了若干写作体验、经验之后才会比较显著。 总的来说,如果说写作、书面表达是一种技能,那么它既需要亲自动手操作,长时间反复磨练,也需要经常观摩他人的操作,从中汲取经验,更需要高水平的专业人员——教师——进行恰到好处的、洞察问题的点拨。虽然并不是每一位英语老师都具备这种“点拨”的能力,但有人从旁观察、指导,一般来说总比自己一个人在黑暗中摸索好。 luckily there's usually light at the end of the tunnel 在上列各种能力之上,还有一个事关全局、影响一切的因素,那就是学生、孩子的 写作欲望如何激发 。如果这一点做不好,那么一切都是白费。对一个人没有意义的事情,做起来是会觉得很累的,并且也难以长期坚持。英语里说,You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.说的就是这个道理。 那么,怎样激发孩子的“写作”欲望,又怎样使之得到保持呢? 很简单,让写作回归本质,让孩子、学生真实、顺畅地记录所见所闻所思,见闻、思考多了,自然对各种话题都能说上几句;大人、教师要关注内容,要对内容作出回应。 写作也好,演讲也好,都是在努力说清一件事,而这种努力,指向的是另一个目的,一个终极目的:或者是告知,或者是打动,或者是说服。因为有这些不同的目的,写作才有不同的体裁,说明文、记叙文、议论文……这个终极目的,又有不同的意图对象,有时是要说服公众,有时是向个别人作出说明,有时是记叙下来给某机构、组织备案用。 为公众、机构、组织而写作,有时不一定能够得到立即回应,但写作者知道这种情况,也不着急期待;而写给个人的文字,不管是书信、明信片还是别的什么形式,一般是期待着得到回应的,比如过去写信,最后来个“盼复”,就是这个意思。 由此揣摩,孩子、学生写作,虽然文笔不见得优美,论辩不一定雄健,但只要是真实的写作活动,应该也有这样那样的目的,特别是, 一般都期待着回应 。比如,学生写了自己对于高中学习生活的困惑与烦恼,尽管老师即便不回复这个话题,只是批改语言错误,学生也不会觉得有什么特别的,但如果老师对此有所回应,略加安慰、鼓励,那么学生会立刻察觉到不同,并且会为此小激动一番。这样的回应,也反过来激励学生继续真实地描绘自己的生活、学习、所思所想,这是一个良性循环。 这是事情的一方面。另一方面, 只有真实、顺畅地记录、描写所见所闻所思, 自己所写的东西 才会有兴趣回头看。请注意,“回看所写”是写作过程中极其重要的一个环节。在中国文学的历史上,贾岛的“推敲”故事非常有名,这正证明了作家、写作者对自己作品反复审视、修改、打磨的极端重要性。可以说,语言的进步,尤其是书面语言能力的进步,和自我审视与修改关系极大。英语作文水平要想取得进步,既要在充分写作的基础上进行广泛的听力、阅读活动,要有高水平的专业指导,还要有自身的不断锤炼,即对自己作文定期、不定期的反复审读、修改。没有真实的作文,这个过程是无法开启的。 总的来说, 写作动力是凌驾于其他一切因素之上的首要因素 ,这个问题解决得好与不好,基本上决定了学生英语写作水平能否提高、能提到什么程度。 现在的高考英语读后续写题型,在写作的基础要求之上提出了新的要求。对于这些新的要求,我们又该怎样理解、如何应对呢? 三、指南:读后续写解题的一二“注意”事项。 我们先来看看2017年浙江省高考英语试题的读后续写真题: 阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。 On a bright, warm July afternoon, Mac Hollan, a primary school teacher, was cycling from his home to Alaska with his friends. One of his friends had stopped to make a bicycle repair, but they had encouraged Mac to carry on, and they would catch up with him soon.
