“中医”如果用英语翻译为“ traditional Chinese medicine ”就有贬低中医的意思，意为低级的，不成体系的，形而下学的知识经验。但中医毕竟是几千年中华文化里精华，是有学术体系的！《黄帝内经》《难经》《神龙本草》《伤寒论》都反映出成熟的理论体系。所以更准确的说，就像西方的古典音乐一样，应当翻译为CLASSIC CHINESE MADICINE.只有这样才体现中医博大精深的融合了人文、哲学、社会学、医学体系的一种知识体系。
