One day Lao Niu gave him a plan to teach him how to marry a weaver girl as his wife. On that day, beautiful fairies actually went to the Milky Way to bathe and play in the water. Then the cowherd hiding in the reed suddenly ran out and took away the Weaver Maid's clothes. The panic-stricken fairies rushed ashore, dressed themselves and flew away, leaving only the Weaver Maid. At Niulang's entreaty, Zhinu promised to be his wife. After marriage, the Cowherd and Weaver Girl lived happily and happily. Zhinu also gave birth to a son and a daughter to Niulang. Later, when the old cow was died, he told the cowherd to leave his skin behind and put it on for help in times of emergency.After the old cow died, the couple painfully peeled the cow and buried it on the hillside. When the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother of Heaven knew about the marriage of the Weaver Girl and the Cowherd, they were furious and ordered the Deity to seize the Weaver Girl. The God took advantage of Niulang's absence and took the Weaver Maid away. The Cowherd went home without the Weaver Girl. He quickly put on the cowhide and took two children to chase him.As soon as she was about to catch up, the Queen Mother was in a hurry. She pulled out the golden hairpin on her head and drew it toward the Milky Way. The once shallow Milky Way suddenly became cloudy and surging, and the Cowherd could not pass any more. From then on, Niulang and Zhinu could only see each other in tears, and for a long time, the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother could not overcome their sincere feelings. They were allowed to meet once a year on July 7th. According to legend, every July 7th, the Magpies of the world would fly to the sky and meet in the Milky Way as Niulang and Zhinu bridges. In addition, when the night is quiet, people can hear the feelings of Cowherd and Weaver Girl in the sky under the grapevine or other fruit racks.

The day arrived,the beautiful fairy maidens had a bath in the river as the cow told . And  the cowboy took the fairy’s cloth away suddenly. The  fairy maidens were at a loss,they hurried to put on the cloth and flied away except the weaver. The  weaver agreed the cowboy’s proposal under the cowboy’s begging.

They  lived happily after the marriage while man tilled the farm and woman weaved .They  looked  aftered each other . The  weaver gave a birth to a  boy and a girl. Later ,the cow asked them preserve his skin before his death.They can use it when they were in emergency.. They  buried the cow in tears .

The weaver and the cow’s marriage was known by the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother of the West.They enraged and commanded the celestial to arrest the weaver . The celestial seized the weaver when the cowboy  was out.

The cowboy rushed to put on the cow’s skin and carry his choldren to go after his wife. It  was near ,the Queen Mother of the West pulled out zan and lined out a river ,and the cowboy cannot cross it. since  then ,the cowboy and the weaver could only watch  each other in the opposite in tears .And  the Emperor was moved by their love .

He promised them meet each other once on july 7  th。 And people said that magpie will build a bridge on that day for them ,that was called meeting in the milky way。What’s more ,you can hear their talking under the grape trees.The day was called Tanabata Festival or Chinese Valentine’s Day

They fell in love with each other soon. The got married secretly and they were very happy. When the Goddess of Heaven knew that her daughter was married to a human, she became very angry and order Zhinü to return to the heaven. NiuLang tried to follow her, but the river of stars stopped him. Finding her daughter was very sad, the Goddess of Heaven finally decided to let the couple cross the Milky Way to meet once a year. Magpies make a bridge of their wings so the couple can cross the river to meet on the day.
