华中地区，中国七大地理分区之一，简称“华中”，或称“中部地区”，包括河南、湖北、湖南三省。华中地区位于我国中部、黄河中下游和长江中游地区，地处华北、华东、西北、西南与华南之间，具有全国东西、南北四境过渡的要冲和水陆交通枢纽的优势，起着承东启西、沟通南北的重要作用。华中地区土地面积56万多平方千米，约占全国土地总面积的5.9%,人口总数约2.18亿左右。农业发达，轻重工业基础雄厚，水陆交通便利。华中地区是全国经济较发达的地区，是中国工农业的心脏和交通中心。此外，华中地区的旅游业也很发达，著名景点有少林寺、龙门石窟、黄鹤楼、三峡、神农架、岳阳楼、张家界等，是游览观光的好去处。The central region of China, one of the China seven geographical divisions, referred to as "central", or "central region", including Henan,Hubei, Hunan provinces.The central region of China in Central China, the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,located between North China, East China, northwest, southwest and Southern China, with national things, North and South four exit transitionhub and land and water transportation hub advantage, connects the East and the west, North and South communication plays an important role.The central area of land area more than 56 square kilometers,accounting for about 5.9% of total land area, population of about 218，000，000.
