MES系统是位于企业应用软件的计划层和控制层之间的执行层,通过把ERP计划和车间作业现场设备控制连接起来,以解决上层生产计划管理与底层生产过程脱节的矛盾。MES集成了车间中生产调度、工艺管理、质量管理、过程控制等相互独立的系统,使这些系统之间的数据实现完全共享,完全解决了信息孤岛状态下的数据重叠和数据矛盾的问题。同时,MES系统可以收集生产过程中大量的实时数据,对实时事件及时处理的同时,还与计划层和生产控制层保持双向通信能力,从上下两层接收相应数据并反馈处理结果和生产指令。从而提高企业信息流的连续性和实时性,达到提高企业敏捷性的目的,也为企业实现敏捷制造打下坚实的基础。
