随着社会的发展，给孩子讲英文绘本，已经是非常流行的事情。英文绘本的获得也变得越来越容易，所以，孩子读英文绘本，再寻常不过了。
我家大宝那时候，要想得到英文绘本是很有难度的，当时是好几个朋友一起办了一张借书卡，一次借50本，一次借1个月。现在英文绘本铺天盖地的到处都是，网上有免费的电子书，实体店、网上书店的资源也非常丰富。
看英文绘本的目的
之所以给孩子看英文绘本，就是想让孩子接触到原汁原味的英语，借助绘本，提高英语水平。所以，我们要给孩子讲的重点是上面的英文，而不是翻译成中文的故事情节。这个一定要搞清楚，不要本末倒置了。
在我们给孩子读绘本的过程中，孩子自己会把声音和图形结合到一起，自然就明白了这个图形用英文是如何表达的。
如果翻译成中文，孩子还要进行一步转换，让中文和英文对应上，然后再去对应图形。有心的孩子会把这三者结合到一起，而习惯中文思维的孩子有可能只把中文和英文结合，而忽略了图形。这种方式就回到了传统教学的模式，这绘本也就白读了。

绘本的英文说法Picture Book
绘本，外来语，即图画书，该词语取自日语中图画书的叫法 "えほん"的汉字写法“絵本”，顾名思义就是“画出来的书”，指一类以绘画为主，并附有少量文字的书籍。
绘本不仅是讲故事，学知识，而且可以全面帮助孩子建构精神世界，培养多元智能。绘本是发达国家家庭首选的儿童读物，国际公认“绘本是最适合幼儿阅读的图书”。

Chrismas trees are made of evergreen tree like Fir trees and they represent the long lives.People put candles,flowers,toys,stars on the tree and they put chrismas present on the tree.
