中国的骄傲The pride of China
We will never forget the day when China launched its first manned spacecraft into orbit on October 15, 2003 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in Northwest China's Gansu Province.
Spraying a mass of orange flames, the large, white Long March II-F rocket carrying the Shenzhou-V spacecraft and China's first astronaut Yang Liwei soared spectacularly skyward, gradually becoming a bright ball before vanishing into deep space.
Our dream becomes reality. Though the Shenzhou-V circled the Earth 14 times within 22 hours and 18 minutes, it has clearly displayed China's spirts of devotion, co-operation and pursuit of the unknown. Meantime, it will turn out to be an important driving force for the country's economic and social development. The successful launch of Shenzhou-V ushered in a new chapter in space history.
我们永远也不会忘记2003年10月15日。中国在其西北部的甘肃省酒泉卫星发射中心首次发射了载人宇宙飞船，进入了轨道。
喷射出一团橘黄色的火焰后，白色的长征n-F火箭运载神州5号宇宙飞船和中国第一个宇宙飞行员杨利伟腾空而起，蔚为壮观，慢慢地变成一个亮球消失在茫茫的太空中。
尽管神州5号在22小时18分钟内仅仅绕地球转14圈，但它清楚的体现了中国的奉献、合作和探索未知的精神。同时这一事件将证明对中国的经济和社会发展起到重要的推动作用。神州5号宇宙飞船的发射成功揭开了太空历史的新篇章。

Oct. 10 Saturday Fine
This evening there was a broadcast of an exciting football match on TV. It was between Chinese team and the team of the United Arab Emirates. I am a loyal football fan and I had expected the match for a long time, so after class I hurried home. But on the way, I found a little boy crying. He lost his way. Considering his parents must be very worried, I immediately decided to send him home. Seeing their son back, the boy's parents showed their gratitude. They also invited me to stay for supper. But thinking of the football match, I refused them politely.
When I got home, it was very late. Therefore, I missed the match,However, I felt very happy because I helped other people.
Although my mother asked why ! came back so late, I said nothing.Perhaps this will become my own secret.

今天晚上电视播放了一场令人兴奋的足球比赛。这场比赛是在中国队和阿联酋队之间展开的。我是一个忠实的足球迷，而且我盼望这场比赛很长时间了，所以放学后我就匆忙往家赶。但是在路上我发现一个小男孩在哭。他迷路了。考虑到他的父母一定很担心，我立刻决定送他回家。看到他们的儿子回来，小孩妁父母感激之情溢于言表。他们留我吃晚饭，但想着足球比赛我婉言拒绝了。
我到家时已经很晚了，因此我错过了比赛。然而我很高兴因为我帮助了他人。
尽管妈妈问我为什么这么晚回来，我什么也没说。或许这将成为我自己的小秘密。
我的生日礼物My Britihday Gifts
It was my birthday yesterday. I got a lot of gifts. All of them were covered with coloured paper. Among them there were two interesting ones.
My elder sister gave me a round paper bag and I thought it was a football. BUt when I opened it, it turned out to be a clock. My brother gave me a message, saying that "My present has been put in your bedroom. "As soon as I went into my bedroom, I found a box. I opened it and found a laptop. I was very happy.
These two presents aim to let me study hard and not to waste time.
昨天是我的生日，我收到了很多礼物。它们用彩纸包着，其中有两件有趣的东西。
我姐姐送了我一个圆纸包，开始我认为是个足球，但打开后才发现是一个闹钟。我哥给我留了张条，告诉我：“我的礼物已经放在你的卧室里了。”我走进卧室，发现一个盒子。我打开了它，里面是一台笔记本电脑。我非常高兴。
这两件礼物是为了让我好好学习，抓紧时间。

For every kid, Children’s Day is a big day , because they can enjoy the festival and get presents from schools and parents. While on this happy day, a mother was caught stealing chicken leg in the supermarket. The media paid much attention to it, because the mother was trying to bring the chicken leg as a gift to her daughter. The poor mother was forgiven by the public, as they had sympathy for her. As the media reported this news, many people wanted to donate money to this mother, helping her to buy gifts to her daughter. Though the mother made a mistake, she did it for love. Mother is the greatest person in the world. She not only gives us life, but also takes care of us all the time. No matter how hard life is, she will never let us concern about it.

Li Ming studies in a high school, and this is his second year. In order to get improved as soon as possible, he decided to study late every night. Usually, he would go to sleep about 11 o’clock, but the pressure made him couldn’t sleep well, so he kept study until 12 o’clock. A month passed, Li Ming realized that he didn’t make progress, instead, he lag behind. He talked to his teacher and the teacher told him that he needed to rest well and took it easy. Only the student slept well would he have the energy to study and focus on his attention. Li Ming did as the teacher said, indeed. It worked, he made progress and he could thought quickly. Sleeping well is the very important way to improve study efficiency.

As the high school students, when they finish their study, they need to take part in a big exam in June and then when the result comes out, they need to think about their major. About ten year ago, the hottest show Supergirl in China surprised the world, because it was the live show with the most amount of participants around the world. The foreign media gave special report for it. Chinese fans were so crazy about their favorite singers. Now more than ten years have passed, only few singers can stand out and make their career well. This show has intrigued many criticisms and once was stopped. This year, the live show has come back, but the audience only can watch it by the Internet. It still rises many topics only to catch the public’s attention. No one cares what potential singers Supergirl can present, as people only cares the scandal, which brings them great joy. This live show has lost its meaning. It won’t create the amazing time as it did before.
大约十年前，中国最热门的娱乐节目《超级女声》震惊了全世界，因为它是全世界最多参与者的真人选秀。外国媒体给予了特别报道，中国粉丝对于他们最喜欢的选手非常的疯狂。现在，十多年过去了，只有几个歌手能脱颖而出，使他们的职业生涯变得辉煌。这场真人秀引起了很多争议，一度停办了。今年，这个真人秀节目又回来了，但是观众只能通过互联网观看。这个节目仍旧引发了很多话题，不过只是为了吸引公众的注意。没有人在乎《超级女声》会给大众带来什么样潜力的歌手。人们只关心绯闻，因为这给他们带来极大的乐趣。这个真人秀节目已经失去了它的意义，再也创造不出之前的惊人时刻。
