Spring festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China. It is like the Christmas in western countries. When lunar new year is closing, everybody is trying to go home to gather with the family. In the northern China, dumpling is necessary for a CNY (Chinese New Year) meal, while in southern provinces, people play dragon dance and lion dance. Both are fantastic for watching. As there are many Chinese are living overseas, CNY is becoming more and more popular around the world.春节是中国最重要的节日之一,就像西方的圣诞节. 每到春节来临,人们都要设法回家与家人团聚. 在北方,吃饺子是必不可少的,而在南方省份,人们喜欢舞狮舞龙. 都很好看. 因为很多的中国人生活在海外,春节在世界上也越来越流行

the lunar new year

the lunar new year is a great occasion to the chinese people。it lasts about the first four days of the year， during which people do not work except for the workers on duty。students do not go to school， and shops are closed。

several days before the new year， people begin to prepare。farmers kill pigs， sheep， cocks and hens。city dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables。houses are cleaned; coupletsare posted on the doors。colourful lanterns are hung at the gate。

on the eve of the new year， each family has its members gatherd together and eatsafamily reunion dinner。after the meal they watch tv until the clock strickes  twelve。

then every family sets off long strings of small firecrackers and other fire works to wele the new year。

on the first day of the new year， almost everyone is dressed in his or her best。when people meet on the way， they say to each other "happy new year"。friends and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other。children indulge themselves in games。

农历新年

农历新年是一个伟大的时刻对中华民族来说。它大约持续了四天的第一年，在这期间不工作，除了值班的工人。学生不上学，和商店都已关掉。

新年前几天，人们就开始准备了。农民杀猪、羊、公鸡和母鸡，城市居民购买肉、鱼和蔬菜。房屋被打扫干净；门上贴着对联。门口挂着五颜六色的灯笼。

除夕夜，每个家庭都会让成员聚在一起吃团圆饭。饭后他们看电视，直到钟敲12点。

然后，家家户户都会燃放长长的小鞭炮和其他烟火来迎接新年。

在新的一年的第一天，几乎每个人都穿着他或她最好的。当人们在路上相遇，他们互相说“新年欢乐“。亲戚朋友拜年，并给出礼物给对方。孩子沉迷于游戏本身。

I had a great Chinese New Year. On the first day of the Chinese New Year, my parents and I visited my grandparents. They own a large ranch in the countryside, surrounded by corn fields and green pastry. It’s a very beautiful ranch and the air is very clean. I helped my grandparents feed the chicken and groom the horses. I really like horses and I spent quite some time riding them along the river for several miles. The river is also very clean, covered by thin ice because of the cold weather. I enjoyed a lot at my grandparents’ home.
