年份关于四位数年份的读法有下列几种情形：

1、一般情况下，将表示年份的四个数字按前后分为两组，每一组的数字都按基数词来读。1865年读作eighteen sixty-five，1998年读作nineteen ninety-eight

2、如果是整百的年，后面的两个“零”读为hundred。1900年读作nineteen hundred1800年读作eighteen hundred

3、十位数字上为“零”，该“零”读为字母O的发音。1809年读作eighteen O nine

4、关于千年的一些读法。2000年读作two thousand2008年读作two thousand and eight或O eight1008年读作one thousand and eight

5、三位以内数字的年份，一般是按照基数词的方法来读。531 BC读作five hundred (and) thirty-one BC

英文日期写法

日期写法宜遵从下列规则：

1、年份必须完全写明，不可用“04代替2004”。

2、月份要用英文名称，不要用数字代替。

3、月份名称多用公认的缩写式。但May, June, July。因为较短，不可缩写。

4、写日期时，可用基数词1，2，3，4，5，……28，29，30，31等，也可用序数词lst，2nd，3rd，4th，5th,……28th，29th，30th，31lst等。但最好用基数词，简单明了。

5、在年份和月日之间必须用逗号隔开。
