长颈鹿英语描述

长颈鹿（学名：Giraffacamelopardalis），属于脊索动物门、长颈鹿科，是一种生长在非洲的反刍偶蹄动物，拉丁文名字的意思是“长着豹纹的骆驼。它们是世界上现存最高的陆生动物。保护级别为易危。

皮毛颜色花纹有斑点和网纹型，头的额部宽，吻部较尖，耳大竖立，头顶有1对骨质短角，角外包覆皮肤和茸毛；颈特别长（约2米），颈背有1行鬃毛；体较短；四肢高而强健，前肢略长于后肢，蹄阔大；尾短小，尾端为黑色簇毛。

生活于非洲稀树草原地带，是草食动物，以树叶及小树枝为主食。在野外长颈鹿的寿命为27年左右，动物园里的能活超过29年。主要分布在非洲的南非、埃塞俄比亚、苏丹、肯尼亚、坦桑尼亚和赞比亚等国，是南非的国兽。

长颈鹿的形态特征：

长颈鹿雄性身高4.5～6.1米、雌性身高4.1～5.5米；雄性重量900～2000千克、雌性重量700～1300千克；颈部长度平均2.4米；出生时身高1.8米；出生时的体重44～70千克。雌雄头顶均生有一对外包皮肤和茸毛的小短角，底色浅棕，终生不会脱掉。此外，它的耳后和眼后还有两对角，但是不很明显。有的雄长颈鹿头额的中央还长有一只角。

因此，它们就有6～7只角。眼大而突出，位于头顶上，适宜远望。除了一对大眼睛是监视敌人天生的“瞭望哨”外，还会不停地转动耳朵寻找声源，直到断定平安无事，才继续吃食。长颈鹿的头部具有坚硬的角状头盖骨。长颈鹿全身被毛疏短，身披浅黄底色、镶有布满形状大小不同的黑褐色花斑网纹的外衣，皮肤上的花斑网纹是一种天然的保护色。

nimals are friends of human beings.Most of them are lovely.I like giraffe the most.They are very tall and have many brown spots.They have very long necks,so that they can eat the leaves in high trees.Giraffes are gentle and lovely.They are friendly to people.When I go to the zoo,I always look at them.They move slowly.I can’t keep it as a pet,because it’s so huge.It’s a big pity.
