I Will Not Sit on Santa's Lap

I will not sit on Santa's lap.

You cannot make me sit on it,

and if you try I promise that

I'll throw a screaming fit on it.

I will not talk to Santa;

I am simply too afraid of him.

I'm not impressed by all the songs

and movies that are made of him.

It really doesn't matter that

he's generous and jolly too.

It doesn't matter if his chair

is decked with boughs of holly too.

It makes no difference that he's loved

from here to Ethiopia.

I cannot sit with Santa.

I've got Santa Claustrophobia.

My Penguin

My penguin looks quite dashing

in his tophat, coat and tails,

with a cummerbund from Macy's

and a tie from Bloomingdales.

My penguin likes to party

in his dapper black tuxedo,

but whenever he goes swimming

he wears nothing but his Speedo.

I Love Me

I took myself out on a date

and said I'm looking grand,

and when I got my courage up

I asked to hold my hand.

I took me to a restaurant

and then a movie show.

I put my arm around me

in the most secluded row.

I whispered sweetly in my ear

of happiness and bliss,

and then I almost slapped me

when I tried to steal a kiss.

Then afterwards I walked me home

and since I'm so polite

I thanked me for a perfect date

and wished myself goodnight.

There's just one little problem

and it kind of hurts my pride.

Myself would not invite me in

so now I'm locked outside!
