that 指代 twenty miles，walked后面缺少宾语，只有名词、代词可以充当宾语成分，A、D都不是名词性单词，不能单独做宾语，必须后接名词，相比于B.this， 只能说that是习惯用法，在有些语境中可以使用this，但这里不行，（一般说话时，所指代之物/事就在眼前的，用this）
