可数名词变复数时,有规则变化和不规则变化两种。
1、规则变化:
(1)一般情况直接在词尾加"-s",如:cake-cakes,bag-bags,day-days,face-faces,orange-oranges等;
(2)以s,x,sh,ch结尾的词,要在词尾加"-es",如:bus-buses,watch-watches,box-boxes等;
(3)以辅音字母加y结尾的词,变y为i再加"-es",如:baby-babies,country-countries,family-families等;
(4)部分以f(e)结尾的词,变f(e)为"ves",如:knife-knives,half-halves等;
(5)以o结尾的词,加"-s"或"-es",如:zoo-zoos,photo-photos,tomato-tomatoes,potato-potatoes等。记忆口诀:除了"英雄"hero外,凡是能吃的,加"-es",不能吃的加"-s"。
2、不规则变化:
(1)改变单数名词中的元音字母:man-men,woman-women,foot-feet,tooth-teeth等;
(2)单、复同形:sheep-sheep,Chinese-Chinese,Japanese-Japanese等;
(3)其他形式:mouse-mice,child-children等。
(1)表示所有关系的代词叫物主代词,本课所介绍的是形容词性物主代词,它们一般放在所修饰名词的前面,同时它们也有人称和数的变化。形容词性物主代词的前后是不出现冠词的,这是在书写句子时最容易犯的错误。如: my father,his desk,our room,their names,your aunt等。
(2)形容词性物主代词的用法形容词性物主代词起形容词作用,在句中只能作定语,也就是说它后面必须跟一个名词。如:
This is my bike.这是我的自行车。
Miss Gao is our English teacher.高小姐是我们的英语老师。
I don't know her name.我不知道她的名字。
(1)this和that是指示代词,it是人称代词。
(2)距离说话人近的人或物用this,距离说话人远的人或物用that。如:
This is a flower.这是一朵花。(近处)
That is a tree.那是一棵树。(远处)
(3)放在一起的两样东西,先说this,后说that。如:
This is a pen. That is a pencil.这是一支钢笔。那是一支铅笔。
(4)向别人介绍某人时说This is…,不说That is…。如:
This is Helen. Helen, this is Tom.这是海伦。海伦,这是汤姆。
(5)This is 不能缩写, 而That is可以缩写。如:
This is a bike. That’s a car.这是一辆自行车。那是一辆轿车。
(6)打电话时,介绍自己用this,询问对方用that。如:
—Hello! Is that Miss Green?喂,是格林小姐吗?
—Yes, this is. Who’s that?是的,我是,你是谁?
注意:虽然汉语中使用“我”和“你”,但英语中打电话时绝不可以说:I am…,Are you…?/Who are you?
(7)在回答this或that作主语的疑问句时,要用it代替this或that。如:
①—Is this a notebook?这是笔记本吗?
—Yes, it is.是的,它是。
②—What’s that?那是什么?
—It’s a kite.是只风筝。

动词be ( am, is,are )的用法:
be动词包括“am” ,“is”,“are”三种形式。
①第一人称单数(1)配合am来用。句型解析析: am+ ...②第二人称(You)配合are使用。句型解析: You are+...
③第三人称单数(Heor She or It)配合is使用。句型解析: She (He, It) is +... ..④人称复数(we /you/they)配合are使用。句型解析: We (You, They) are .....例句 We are in Class 5, Grade 7. They are my friends. You are good students.用法口诀:
我(I)用am,你(you)用are, is跟着他(he),她(she),它(it)。单数名词用is,复数名词全用are。变否定,更容易,be后not加上去。变疑问,往前提,句末问导莫丢弃。还有一条须注意,句首大写莫忘记。
陈述句
陈述句的否定结构:
陈述句的否定式主要用两种结构来表达:
(1)句子的谓语动词为be,have 或者谓语动词有助动词、情态动词时,其否定结构为:
主语+谓语动词/助动词/情态动词+ not+其他成分I am not a teacher. 我不是老师。
We have not (haven't) any books on animals. 我们没有任何有关动物方面的书。
The children are not (aren't) playing in the playground. 孩子们没在操场上玩。
He will not (won 't) come. 他不会来。
We must not (mustn't) forget the past. 我们不能忘记过去。It could not (couldn't) be los t. 它不可能丢的。
第一. 基本句式要记牢
在课堂上老师讲到的单词、词组及句型的用法统统要牢记并融会贯通。这么做的目的是为了在今后做题时可以运用自如。
第二. 结合具体语境
初中英语语法中很多是抽象的概念,囫囵吞枣地去记忆往往让人觉得索然无味。所以千万不要孤零零地去记忆语法,要把语法规则和一定的上下文或者生活语境结合起来。这样一来,语法就变得真实可感了。另外,语法就像是从树干上长出的树枝一样,都是相互关联的,可以画一些图示来帮助记忆。
第三. 注意词法和句法的区分
初中英语语法是由词法和句法组成的,词法是各式各样的词语的形态及变化。如名词、代词、冠词等等。句法就是句子的类型,主要分为一般规则和特殊规程。
