轶事
擎天柱的日文原名“Convoy”这个名字当初是源自于戴亚克隆的Battle Convoy，也就是擎天柱的玩具前身产品之名称。当初TAKARA因为担心“Optimus Prime”对日本的小朋友来说过于复杂且难记住，因此就从Battle Convoy的名字取了Convoy作为擎天柱的日本名称。日本版的G2剧情中，擎天柱于后半段透过领导模块强化之后，称为“Battle Convoy（バトルコンボイ）”。
