这两种都可以，但是强调的是what后的形容词要有名词，用代词作主语。而how后的形容词的名词做得是主语。

句型一、What + (a / an) + 形容词 + 名词 + 主语 + 谓语！

1、What a clever boy he is! (他是个)多么聪明的男孩啊！

2、What an interesting story it is! (这是个)多么有趣的故事啊！

在感叹句中，What a / an 常用来修饰单数可数名词，若其前面的形容词为元音开头，则用 an。what 是用来修饰复数可数名词和不可数名词。但有些不可数名词，如 rain, surprise, breakfast, lunch 等，当前面有形容词修饰，使抽象名词具体化时，则要用 what a / an。如：

how还可以修饰动词构成感叹句，但动词不提前。

如：How I want to be a doctor!

“how"和"what"的使用区别

1、两者均可用来引出感叹句，how用于修饰形容词、副词或动词，而what用于修饰名词。如：

How difficult it is!它是多难啊!

What a clever boy he is!他真是个聪明的孩子!

【注】有时也说How clever a boy he is!但不是很常见。

2、在询问看法时，以下两句型同义，注意搭配的动词不同:

你觉得这部电影怎么样?

正：How do you like the film?

正：What do you think of the film?

3、在询问天气时，以下两类句型同义，但句型结构不同：

今天天气怎么样?

正：How is the weather today?

正：What is the weather like today?
