1、美国日期的格式
把日期写成月／日／年。
例如，一月的第四天可以这样写：
January 4，2005
1/4/05
01/04/2005
在正式的美国写作中，你要省略年份或使用纯数字形式的日期。例如，如果你要写一封正式的商业信函，你需要写出整个日期，包括整个月份（January 4，2005)。
2、使用欧洲日期格式
在欧洲国家和世界上大多数其他地方，新年是第一天，然后是月，然后是年。一月的第四天应该这样写：
4， January ，2005
4/1/05
04/01/2005
在正式的欧洲著作中，日期的写法通常与美国版本相似。所以January 4，2005只是把月份和日期互换了，改成4 January 2005。
英语作文日期注意的问题：
1、注意日期、星期和天气的书写位置。
日期和星期要写在正文的左上角，其顺序多是“星期+月、日、年”，也有把星期放在后面的。
如“20xx年11月22日，星期一”可写为“Monday November 22，20xx”或“November 22，20xx Monday”。天气情况应写在正文的右上角，如：Fine、Rainy、Cloudy、Windy、sunny等。
2、标题的书写。
在日期和天气的下一行中间可以写上日记小标题，也可以不写标题。刚开始写日记，可以用一个词作标题。
