厚德载物的英文

1、上善若水

读音：shàng shàn ruò shuǐ

释义：做人应如水，水滋润万物，但从不与万物争高下，这样的品格才最接近道。

出处：上善若水。水善利万物而不争，处众人之所恶，故几于道。居善地，心善渊，与善仁，言善信，正善治，事善能，动善时。夫唯不争，故无忧。 —— 老子《道德经》

老子说：“上善若水”，“水善利万物而不争，处众人之所恶，故几于道”。这里实际说的是做人的方法，即做人应如水，水滋润万物，但从不与万物争高下，这样的品格才最接近道。尽管从总体上看，老子的处世哲学是消极、无为的，但如果剔除其消极成分，细细品味水的品性，我们还是能够从中发掘或引申出有益的道理或原则的。

2、厚德载物

读音：hòu dé zài wù

释义：旧指道德高尚者能承担重大任务。

出处：《周易·坤》:“君子以厚德载物。”

至于厚德载物，什么是“德”，其实很简单。帮助别人要求回报，叫做交易。帮助别人不要求回报，就叫做“德”。如果有很多人得到你的帮助，而你都不要求回报，那你的德就厚了，就可以称作德高望重了。
