牛年是中国历法中计算年份的方式，公元年号除以12余数是5的年份都是牛年。牛是中国的12生肖之一，排名第二。

The year of the ox is the way to calculate the year in the Chinese calendar． The year of the ox is the year when the year number of A．D． is divided by 12 and the remainder is 5． Cattle is one of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals， ranking second．

牛年起算自二十四节气之立春，因为生肖年依附于干支纪年，而干支纪年又是干支历的纪年方法。

The year of the ox starts from the beginning of the spring of the 24 solar terms， because the year of the zodiac is attached to the Ganzhi calendar， and the Ganzhi calendar is the method of the Ganzhi calendar．

历代官方历书（即黄历）皆如此。农历只是借用干支来纪年，其一年的范围在正月初一至除夕内，此点并无争议。

牛在西方文化中是财富与力量的象征，源于古埃及，依照《圣经．出埃及记》的记载，以色列人由于从埃及出奔不久，就利用黄金打造了金牛犊，当作耶和华上帝的形象来膜拜。

Cattle is a symbol of wealth and power in western culture． It originated in ancient Egypt． According to the records of Exodus， the Israelites used gold to build golden calves as the image of the LORD God soon after they left Egypt．

总体构思

使一张手抄报在有限的空间内，既容纳一定的知识内容，版面设计又精彩又美观是很难的。对编者来说，组稿、编辑、排版、插图、书写，这是一个全神贯注、脑手并用的创造过程，是他的文化修养、生活情趣、精神风貌和艺术修养的综合体现。这对一个学生来说，无疑是发展个性才能的广阔天地。

办手抄报，从总体上考虑，首先要确立主题思想。一期手抄报，版面很有限，要办出特色，必须在内容上突出一个主题，做到主题突出，又丰富多彩。版面编排和美化设计，也要围绕着主题，根据主题和文章内容决定形式的严肃与活泼，做到形式与内容的统一。

可以收集以下几个内容:新年祝福的好词好句，新年的由来，新一年的规划，给三五好友的新年祝福，新年的愿望等，然后用彩色笔画一些图片点缀一下。
