世纪、年代、年、月、日的表达
一、世纪：
1、用“定冠词+序数词+century”表示
例：在十七世纪 写作：in the 17th century，读作：in the seventeenth century
2、用“定冠词+百位进数+s”表示（公众号 线话英语）
例：在十七世纪 写作：in the 1600s，读作：in the sixteen hundreds
注意：这种情况下，实际表达的世纪数是阿拉伯数字本身加一。
二、年代
用“定冠词+(世纪百位进数+十位年代数)+s”表示
例：在二十世纪三十年代 写作：in the 1930s，读作：in the thirties of the twentieth century或 in the nineteen thirties
表示某年代的早期、中期和晚期，可以在定冠词后添加early, mid-和late
例如：
在二十世纪二十年代早期 in the early 1920s；
在二十世纪五十年代中期 in the mid-1950s
三、年月日
1、年份
① 读年份时一般分为两个单位来读，前两个数为一个，后两个数为一个：
1949 读作：nineteen forty-nine或nineteen hundred and forty-nine
② 如果是三位数，先读第一位，再把后两个数合起来读：
253 读作：two fifty-three或two hundred and fifty-three
③ 另外： 2000 读作：two thousand，1902 读作：nineteen hundred and two或 nineteen o two
④ 如果要使用year，year放在数词之前
例如：in the year two fifty-three B.C. 在公元前253年
2、月份
月份是专有名词，除了少数几个月份外都有缩写形式：
January - Jan. 一月
February - Feb. 二月
March - Mar. 三月
April - Apr. 四月
August - Aug. 八月
September - Sept. 九月
October - Oct. 十月
November - Nov. 十一月
December - Dec. 十二月
注意：（公众号 线话英语）缩写形式后面的点不能省略，因为它是表示缩写形式的符号。
3、日期：
用序数词表示
例：十月一日 写作：October 1, October 1st, 1 October, 1st October, (the) 1st of October等，其中的October都可以写成缩写形式Oct.
读作：October the first或the first of October
4、年月日
用英语表达年月日的顺序：
① 月\日\年
例：2002年1月17日
写作：January 17(th), 2002或January seventeenth, 2002（日和年之间需用逗号隔开）
读作：January the seventeenth, two thousand and two
②日\月\年
例：2002年1月17日
写作：17(th) January, 2002或the seventeenth of January, 2002（月和年之间需用逗号隔开）
读作：the seventeenth of January, two thousand and two.
1st June、22nd September、17th October、23rd February、19th May的简写形式如下：
1st June;22nd Sept.;17th Oct.;23rd Feb.;19th Mar.。(缩写形式后面的点不能省)
在美国，人们通常先说月份，再说日。
日期一般用缩写形式：
比如，July 17 或 July 17th，而不是 July seventeenth。
July 2nd ： 7 月 2 日
February 10 ：2 月 10 日
October 21st ：10 月 21 日
日期中介词的使用：
若指在哪一年或哪一月，用介词in；若具体到某一天，需用介词on。
例如：
1、She was born in 1989.
2、She was born in August.
3、She was born in August 1989.
4、She was born on 2nd August, 1989.

时间写法从小到大：
中文“今天是2015年9月11日”，英国文今天是“September 11th, 2015”， 而美国人则会说 “11th September, 2015”。
举例：
1、1986 年 10月 23 日→October 23(rd), 1986
2、2002 年 1 月 17 日→January 17(th), 2002
英语表达的顺序为\'月、日、年\'， 因此 2004 年 11 月 8 日就可写成November 8th, 2004，还可表示为 November eighth, 2004。
另外，也可写成\'日、月、年\'，8th November, 2004 即 the eighth of November, 2004。
英语日期的表示法： 英语中月份和星期名称都是专有名词(独一无二的东西比如 月亮 太阳)，它们的首字母必须大写，并且前面无需用冠词。
用英语表示日期，其顺序为“月日年”，日和年之间需用逗号隔开。如：August 2nd， 2003(2003 年 8 月 2 日)也可以用“日月年”来表示。如：10th May 2003(2003 年 5 月 10 日)。

英语时间通常用以下两种方法表达：
1、直接表达法
A. 用基数词 + o'clock来表示整点，注意o'clock须用单数，可以省略。如：
eight o'clock 八点钟，ten (o'clock) 十点钟
B. 用基数词按钟点 + 分钟的顺序直接写出时间。如：
eleven-o-five 十一点过五分， six forty六点四十
2、间接表达法
A. 如果分钟数少于30分钟，可用分钟 + past + 钟点表示，其中past是介词，意思是“过”。如：
twenty past four 四点二十 eight past one 一点八分
B. 如果分钟数多于30分钟，可用（60分钟-原分钟数）+ to +（原钟点数+ 1）表示，其中to是介词，意思是“差”。如：
8:35 可表示为twenty-five to nine 差二十五分钟九点，即八点三十五（其中的分钟数twenty-five 是由60分钟减去35分钟得 到的；钟点数nine是由8加上1得到的）。
