随着改革开放的进一步深入，我们直接接触原版英语小说或英语报刊，以及原版英语电影或电视等的机会越来越多，有时还可能会与英语国家的人直接交谈等，这样我们就有可能不可避免地要遇到一些粗话、脏话或骂人的话。为此，下面我们对这一问题作一简单归纳和说明，希望能对学生对付此类情况有所帮助，但这里要特别说明的是：下面所介绍的粗脏话和骂人的话，同学们只能“输入”----即对书中、 文章 中、电视电影中等出现的这类表达作出正确的理解，但不能“输出”----即不能自己在谈话或写作中随意使用这类表达。----切记!

按照词义的粗俗程度和语气的强弱，我们可将这类粗脏话和骂人话分为一般性粗话和侮辱性粗话两种。

一、一般性粗话

主要表示说话者的愤怒、厌烦、轻蔑、失望等心情，虽然有时也带有侮辱的含义，但侮辱的程度不是很深，常可译为“该死的”、“他妈的”、“讨厌的”等。这类词主要有：damn, piss, blast, bloody, bleeding, blooming, flaming, ruddy 等：

Damn you! 该死的! 他妈的! 讨厌! 混账!

You damned fool! 你真他妈的是个大笨蛋!

I’ll be damned if I go there again! 我要是再去那儿，我他妈的就不是人!

Blast you all. 去你们的。

The blooming idiot! 真他妈的是个大笨蛋!

Put it here, blast your eyes! 放这里，你那该死的眼睛长到哪里去了?

What a blasted mess you’ve made! 你他妈的给弄得太乱了。

You’re a bloody nuisance! 你真他妈的烦人!

Of course not, you bloody idiot! 当然不是这样，你他妈的真是个笨蛋!

注：bloody 这个词在现代英语中已用得比较广泛，经常用于日常生活中，有时在一些非正式的张贴 广告 或电视上也可能见到或听到这个词，这说明它在现代英语中的粗俗程度有所降低：

You’re a bloody genius! 你真是个鬼才了!

It’s bloody wonderful! 真他妈的棒!

二、侮辱性粗话

表示说话者一种十分愤怒或恼火的心情，带有很强的侮辱人的意味，这类词主要的有：basterd, bugger, bitch, son of a bitch 等：

You bastard [bugger]! 你这个兔崽子!

You heartless bastard! 你这个狼心狗肺的东西! 你这个无情无义的家伙!

You silly bugger! 你这个蠢货! 你这个笨崽子!

但有时由于特定的语言环境，使用以上也可能不含侮辱，而表示一种友善：
