next to和close to区别是：远近关系不同、用法不同。

1、远近关系不同

next to：有紧挨着的意味，紧接着，距离最近，一般指就在xx旁边的那个物体。

close to：没有紧挨着的意味，靠近。

2、用法不同

如果想形容两个人关系很近，这种就不是物理上的靠近了，而是一种看不见的距离，是用来描述人与人之间的关系，那用的就是close to。这种时候，close的意思是“亲密的”，close to也就是表示两者关系近。

next to是指挨着，例如两间房子挨着就用next to。next to意思是“隔壁”、“接近”、“紧挨着”，后面接地点名词，不能单独使用。
