Family ParticipationHere at The English School, we believe that education is a shared responsibility and for that reason we work closely with the families of our pupils.In order to enhance the flow of healthy communication between family and school, we hold parent-teacher meetings for each class at the beginning of each term at which we introduce the themes of study to be covered during that term along with highlighting specific objectives.For the same reasons, we hold individual parent-teacher meetings on a regular basis in order to inform parents as to their childrens progress.The school also makes use of a Communication Book which allows daily communication between family and school with regard to any point of interest or question which may arise.Rights and Responsibilities of PupilsRights:To receive a well rounded and high quality education which takes into account all aspects of the individual social, physical and ethical. To carry out his / her learning activities in an environment which is safe and clean. Enjoy equal opportunities in an environment free from discrimination of any type. Responsibilities:To respect and participate in the educational project of the school. To respect the freedom, dignity, integrity and privacy of all members of the educational community. To arrive punctually at all classes and activities and to provide justification for any absences. To attend classes / activities appropriately dressed and groomed and with the material necessary for participation. To obtain permission from the appropriate teacher in order to leave either a class or the school grounds or in the case of non-participation in activities. To treat all classroom and personal material, as well as the school grounds and buildings, with respect and care.
