自我保护:Self-preservation 或 Self-protection(自卫)不知你指的：“开始自我保护”是承接了什么上文内容。begin to act as "Self-protection" 这样总比用 start 好。

start to protect oneself

First of all,self-protection is important.When we run into trouble or danger,we can choose to call for help,but the best way should be take measures to protect ourselves,especially when we can do it. Then,how should we protect ourselves?Here is my advice.First,we should always be ready for possible danger.Second,we must not be nervous when the dangerous things have come .Third,if the problem is really beyond ourselves ,it is best for us to ask for help instead of risking .
