well-off society十六大报告的英文译本把小康社会翻译为“well-off society”。小康，是一个中国式的概念，产生于中国。现在国外也使用小康概念，是由中文翻译过去的。译法各种各样。有的翻译为“a society in which people lead a fairly comfortable life”，即人民过着比较舒适生活的社会；有翻译为“comparative prosperity”，即相对富裕的生活；有的干脆用汉语拼音，翻译为 “xiaokang”。
