Good afternoon ，ladies and gentlemen!
I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.
First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”
Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2015 Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.
Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?
I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”
For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2015 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others.
At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

I can't realize my dream,it result from that I haven't work harder enough and I won't find other excuses. If no people believe you, you can make it to prove that you are right. If you think the god haven't blessed you and there is no truth here, you can become the god and create the truth.
"My breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow, my sword is famous in Kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains." At some time in the past I also had am bitious words and I had some achievements. Each achievement results from my hard work. I always believe that "If you want to have more achievements than others, you must work harder."
In some extent, the dream is the hope. If you can insist on doing something, the victory will come.
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. My name is Jie Lidi. Today, my topic is: “Confidence”. As we all know, failure is the mother of success. But What I want to say is that success is the child of confidence. Without confidence, things can become negative and uncomfortable. I remember, during an English class, I wanted to make a sentence using the word "listen". I should have said: "I listen to the Voice of America" but I was too nervous and said "I listen to the Noise of America". Everybody in the class laughed. Since then I wanted to train myself to be confident. Now, confidence makes me brave and courageous. Take this speech for example. I wanted to enter this competition, but I would feel very embarrassed if I made mistakes. Just then, I thought about my dream. My dream is to become a scientist when I grow up. If I am not confident, how can I overcome difficulties I face? If I am not confident, how can I succeed in developing myself in the future? I will do it! Today, I am making a speech in public and I feel proud and confident!
I am sure, in the future, with confidence, I will go forward-always forward. Confidence will make my dreams come true!

用TED talk 学英语的正确姿势蓝与黑_Lucas简书作者1.8702017-05-03 15:41打开App这段时间迷上了TED talk，最初的目的是想利用TED talk练习听力，后来在不断的练习过程中，发现如果仅仅是利用TED talk练习听力，未免有些暴殄天物。事实上通过一段时间的学习，我发现如果方法得当，能将一篇TED talk充分利用，那么会从多个层面为英语的学习带来极大助益。今天我就对TED talk学习的一些经验进行一个简单的总结。工欲善其事必先利其器。首先，要找到一篇合适的材料。材料的来源，建议在TED talk的官网上找，网址是：。目前TED没有被墙，所以也用不着翻墙，而且材料也非常的优质，提供MP4、MP3和演讲稿（中英文都有）的免费下载，对了还可以为MP4选择字幕，我的建议是把演讲稿、MP3和英文字幕的MP4都下载下来。TED 官网在内容选择上，可以结合自己的兴趣，专业方向等进行选择。另一个方面是演讲者的身份，个人的建议的是尽量选择English Native Speaker，一是因为口音的关系，一些地区的非母语演讲者的talk想要听懂真的不是一件很容易的事情；二是不利于我们模仿跟读；三是在一些语法上，他们的用法可能不是很地道。因此，建议大家尽量避免选择非母语演讲者。当然啦，练习之前可以试听一下，有些演讲者虽然不是Native Speaker，但是口音还是相当地道的。最后一个方面是演讲的时间长度，建议最好在10~15分钟左右，这样有利于我们集中一段时间反复练习。找到合适的材料后，就可以开始练习了，我把练习分为三个阶段：第一个阶段是听懂，分为四个步骤：第一步是听大意。首先我们把它完整的听一遍，听完之后试着阐述一下这篇演讲说了些什么：演讲的主题是什么；围绕这个主题，演讲者的观点是什么；演讲者用了什么例子（正面或反面）去佐证自己的观点。第一次建议大家对着MP4视频看（字幕遮一下），因为演讲者们通常都有PPT，可以帮助我们更好的融入演讲环境。第二步是对照字幕再听一遍。看看在字幕的帮助下，能不能比听第一遍时更好地理解演讲，注意过程中不要停下来看字幕，不能懂就过，千万不要停。第三步是标记盲区。接下来就可以逐句逐词地过了。具体做法是，拿出准备好的演讲稿，开始逐句听，对于听不懂的地方，可以反复多次。注意，只要能听懂，就不要去看讲稿。碰到反复几次都听不懂的地方，首先在讲稿中把这部分标记出来，然后看一看是什么原因导致无法听懂，词汇量问题（生词或不熟悉的词）？语法问题？读法问题（断句，发音，连读等）？把这些分别标记出来。第四步是针对没听明白的地方查单词，查语法，学习读法。找个小本子或者在手机上，把查到的单词记录下来，尤其是在演讲中对应的句子要一并记录下来，这样方便随时复习，另一方面，有了演讲语境，可以更好地将单词吸收掌握，效果远胜单纯地背单词！第二个阶段是提炼，分为三个方面：一是金句短语的学习。每一篇TED talk几乎都会有那么几个令人拍案叫绝的句子，把这些句子摘录出来，没事经常看看，可以让我们的写作或是演讲表达都更上一层楼。除了金句，还有一些很棒的小短语，注意区分使用环境，有些是在口语中经常使用，而有一些则可以用在书面写作中。We will all experience what looks like an ending, and we can choose to make it a beginning——Kate Adams:Four large-than-life lessons from soap operas二是跟读练习。利用TED talk练习口语的关键就在于此——跟读。影子跟读法大家应该都听说过，尽量完美地模仿演讲：模仿发音，模仿断句，模仿语气音调的变化。开始时可以对着讲稿跟读，进而可以撇下讲稿进行跟读，最后可以自己对着讲稿来一遍，并且一定要录音，听一下自己和演讲者的差别在哪里并加以改正。第三是英文含义的get练习。什么意思？通常情况下，我们看到一句英文，我们的大脑会不自觉地把它处理成中文，这样就有一个“英文——>中文”的转化过程。那么我们就要训练自己“见英文而解其义”的能力，把英文向中文转化的这个环节消除掉。方法就是反复听，不断加强对句子和语法的熟悉。”This is an apple” 这样的句子相信大家看见就知道什么意思，那么在这个练习中就要努力做到对每一个句子都能达到程度的熟悉。最后一个阶段是精炼，主要做三个方面工作。第一是复述练习。其实这也是练习口语的一个重要方面，我们往往会把“口语好”和“发音好”等同起来，事实上，发音只是口语的一个方面，如果一个人发音很地道，但是不会组织逻辑，遣词造句，那么他的口语也是不合格的。所以复述就是解决这个问题，听一段，就用自己的话把大意复述一遍，看看一个意思，自己的表达和演讲者的表达有什么差异。第二是分析演讲技巧。重点关注一下观众情绪变化的地方，尤其是那些观众哄堂大笑，一片惊叹或是掌声雷动的地方，看看演讲者是如何成功调动观众情绪的。第三是分析演讲逻辑。研究一下演讲者是如何在十几分钟时间里，把一个观点完美地传达给观众的。重点关注以下几个方面：如何开场；话题切入；观点的抛出和佐证；定论收场。通过分析，可以简单地梳理出一个演讲模型，在我们日后的写作演讲中就可以加以使用。最后，跟大家说点小TIP。一是扫生词之前不要纠结于个别没听懂的单词，试着去掌握一段话的大意更加重要；二是坚持练习，学会从一次又一次练习中不断找到具体的问题，学会总结一点一滴的进步和收获；三是享受TED talk吧，想象自己是现场的一名native speaker跟着演讲者的思路，让自己的感情和现场观众一起起伏变化，想象自己是一位TED talker给出一个精彩绝伦的演讲，让你的听众们为你喝彩欢呼！

演讲技巧主要有如下步骤:1.做好演讲的准备包括了解听众，熟悉主题和内容，搜集素材和资料，准备演讲稿，作适当的演练等。2.选择优秀的演讲者优秀的演讲者包括下述条件：（1）足够的权威性；（2）演讲者具有较强的语音能力和技巧：（3）演讲者的热情；（4）演讲者的理智与智慧；（5）演讲者的仪表状态3.运用演讲艺术包括开场白的艺术，结尾的艺术，立论的艺术，举例的艺术，反驳的艺术，幽默的艺术，鼓动的艺术，语音的艺术，表情动作的艺术等等，通过运用各种演讲艺术，使演讲具备两种力量：逻辑的力量和艺术的力量。4.何谓善用空间的演讲所谓空间就是指进行演说的场所范围、演讲者所在之处以及与听众间的距离等等。演说者所在之处以位居听众注意力容易汇集的地方最为理想。例如开会的时候、主席多半位居会议桌的上方、因为该处正是最容易汇集出席者注意力的地方。反之，如果主席位居会议桌之正中央，则会议的进行情况会变如何呢？恐怕会使出席者注意力散漫了，且有会议冗长不休的感觉？因此，让自己位居听众注意力容易汇集之处，不但能够提升听众对于演讲的关注，甚至具有增强演说者信赖度权威感的效果。5.演讲时的姿势如何演说时的姿势（posture）也会带给听众某种印象，例如堂堂正正的印象或者畏畏缩缩的印象。虽然个人的性格与平日的习惯对此影响颇巨，不过一般而言仍有方便演讲的姿势，即所谓“轻松的姿势”。要让身体放松，反过来说就是不要过度紧张。过度的紧张不但会表现出笨拙僵硬的姿势，而且对于舌头的动作也会造成不良的影响。决窍之一是张开双脚与肩同宽，挺稳整个身躯。另一个决窍是想办法扩散并减轻施加在身体上的紧张情绪。例如将一只手稍微插入口袋中，或者手触桌边、或者手握麦克风等等。6.演讲时的视线在大众面前说话，亦即表示必须忍受众目睽睽的注视。当然，并非每位听众都会对你报以善意的眼光。尽管如此，你还是不可以漠视听众的眼光，避开听众的视线来说话。尤其当你走到麦克风旁边站立在大众面前的那一瞬间，来自听众的视线有时甚至会让你觉得刺痛。克服这股视线压力的秘决，就是一面进行演讲；一面从听众当中找寻对于自己投以善意而温柔眼光的人。并且无视于那些冷淡的眼光。此外，把自己的视线投向强烈“点头”以示首肯的人，对巩固信心来进行演说也具有效果。7.演讲时的脸部表情演讲时的脸部表情无论好坏都会带给听众极其深刻的印象。

Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. What is success? It is what everyone is longing for.Sometimes success would be rather simple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now I am standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization of people's hopes and ideals.Nowadays, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the realization of people’ hopes and ideals.Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope.What is success?
