It can be noticed that there are some unhealthy living habits among young people, especially college students. Typical examples include staying up late, being addicted to games, consuming in an inappropriate way. Thus, due attention should be paid to students’ daily habits.
Apparently, these bad habits may generate negative impacts. To begin with, they may impair students’ physical health and psychological fitness. In addition, what worries many teachers is that they may also exert negative influences on students’ academic performance. To conclude, never can we turn a blind eye to these phenomena.
In view of the seriousness of this issue, it is time that we took effective measure. Firstly, it is suggested that universities or colleges should cultivate students’ awareness of healthy living. Secondly, students themselves are well-advised to learn to regulate and control their own life appropriately. Only by doing so, can we hope to see the ideal scenes in which students enjoy their colorful and healthy life in Ivory Tower.
Views on donating blood vary from person to person. Some people think that it is glorious to donate blood. They hold this view because the blood they have donated can be used to save the patients who are in urgent need of it. But others hold that it is foolish for people to donate blood. In their opinion, blood is very precious to one’s health and if one loses 200ml or more of blood, it will do harm to his or her health.
As for me, I agree to the first opinion. The reasons for my choice are as follows. First, while it is true that loss of too much blood is dangerous to one’s health, it doesn’t mean donating a little blood is also harmful. Doctors tell us that donating a little blood is of no harm to anyone in good health and blood plays an indispensable role in saving a seriously ill patient.
In a word, I am convinced that donating blood is glorious. As new-century college students, we are supposed to donate blood as long as our health permits. Nothing can make us happier than saving a person.
In recent years, more and more college students quit school ahead of schedule.Except the minority quitting for objective reasons like health problem, most students leave with the pursuit of an ideal career, as well as more experience and fortune.Several factors may contribute to its emergence.
In the first place, some students think that the opportunity cost of spending four years on college campus is too high, and the job market competition is getting fiercer.
Therefore, when there’s a satisfying job available, it’s worth quitting. In the second place, some hold that the real world is a better school for them to get practical knowledge than traditional schools.
Last but not least, the publicizing and popularity of some successful businessmen like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, who didn’t finish school but ended up with a great fortune and achievement, set examples for the young generation emphasizing individuality and personality.
However, I don’t think it’s rational for college students to quit school.Armed with high education and more mature personality, better-prepared graduates can fight for their future more easily.
In a word, college education pays off.

Some people prefer to work for a large company while others prefer to work for a small company. What is your view? Choose a Big CompanyWhether a small or a big company is better should be judged on a case-to-case basis. Generally speaking, I would like to take up a job in a big company. To begin with, big corporations are more reputable and prestigious than small ones. Therefore, it is easier to acquire a credible recommendation letter if one ever decides to seek other employment and get on the career ladder. In addition, big companies often provide satisfactory welfare benefits along with other perks whereas small enterprises may not always duly value their employees. Furthermore, the in-house training operated by big corporations benefits students not for the current job but also has a longlasting impact on their future career. In addition, renowned companies, especially international ones, are more likely to offer employees the opportunity to work in different places. Also, the options presented by small enterprises are often quite limited. Last but not least, small companies usually lack an efficient infrastructure and this may create many obstacles for new graduates who are not well experienced. Also, their brand value can hardly compete with well-known big companies. In summary, albeit that the competition is irrefutably fiercer for the positions offered by big companies, the aforementioned merits render a big company a better choice.(208 words)
