“加油”是个日常用语，有不同版本的翻译方法，用哪个合适要看上下文，以及对方是谁等。
比如普通的加油可以说fighting，看比赛时的“加油”可以用Come on，“为……加油”可以用Cheer sb on，为汽车“加油”可以用to refuel或者to fill up等等。
1. 看比赛时的“加油”
“Come on China!”，“Come on England”就可以了。
2. “为……加油”英语
“Cheer sb. on”比较常用。
例句：We cheered the players on. 我们为运动员加油。
3. 鼓励快要奔溃的朋友说“加油”
这种情况下，跟汉语不同的是，英语没有一个方便、通用的说法，就给两个例子吧！
（1）A: I still have 3,000 words to write of my essay.
B: Good luck.
（2）A: I am going to have to work until midnight everyday this week.
B: Don’t worry, it’ll all be over soon.
4 对比较了解中文的老外说“加油”
大部分在中国或者对中国感兴趣的外国人，不管中文怎么样，知道“加油”这个单词。因此，很多情况下，说“jia you”不会导致误解。
5. 有趣的“加油”
很多外国人觉得说“add oil”的逐字翻译格外有趣。不知道童鞋们觉得不？不过这种说法只能对有点了解汉语的老外说哦，不然他们就只能对你干瞪眼了。
7. 为汽车“加油”怎么说呢？
“加油”原先的意思也经常被用错。“To refuel”或者“to fill up”最常用，而且这个不分英式美式英语。
顺带提一下，“加油站”在英国是“petrol station”，在美国是“gas station”。
